Lending more weight and star power to Nikhil Siddhartha-spearheaded Spy is Rana Daggubati who, according to sources, is set to dazzle the audience with a breathtaking cameo in the film. Sources add that the lanky actor has shot for the film for a couple of days some time back. “His portion includes an adrenaline-fueled action sequence which comes at a crucial juncture in the film. His presence has elevated the scene to a next level and it will be a sight to behold in the film,” sources point out.

With the makers on Sunday confirming that the film will indeed be arriving in cinema halls on June 29th after producer Rajashekar Reddy and Nikhil decided to bury the hatchet (read The Spy Conundrum); work on the post-production is in full-swing. “Three companies and about 1,000 skilled CGI (computer-generated imagery) technicians are working their fingers to the bone for the project. The effects should be in place before the film goes for a censor certification,” sources added further.

Spy, which revolves around the undisclosed narrative of Subhas Chandra Bose, founder of the Indian National Army (INA), sees the renowned editor, Garry BH, making his debut as director, while Iswarya Menon is the leading lady opposite Nikhil. Sanya Thakur, Aryan Rajesh, Abhinav Gomatam, Makrand Deshpande and Jisshu Sen Gupta are playing supporting roles. Sricharan Pakala and Julian Amaru Estrada have handled the music and cinematography departments, respectively.
