In a podcast with Inside Total Film, hit machine SS Rajamouli admitted that the “success of the film (RRR) in the West itself was not in my wildest dreams”. “The campaign for BAFTAS and Oscars is beyond the wildest dreams,” he added with a smile. On the campaign of RRR for Oscars, he said, “I have never done this before. I have absolutely no idea how this is done but the kind of adulation, love and support we had from the Western world; they started #RRRforOscars, #RRRforBAFTAS. They started pushing. At one point of time, we felt if we don’t do this, then we are not repaying the kind of love they had for the film. It is mostly for the fans who are pushing us to do this campaign and I’m absolutely loving it. I’m also learning so much about so many things. We are upbeat about this.”

When the interviewer wanted to know if he was approached by Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios and the primary producer of the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise since 2007, for a Marvel movie or anything like that, Rajamouli shared, “There are a lot of inquiries from Hollywood. But at present I’m committed to do a film with Mahesh Babu. He is a big star in Telugu. But I would definitely like to learn so much from Hollywood; their style of working, their methodology of working. I’m seeing how we can collaborate and make it a richer experience.”
