Nithiin’s next with Vakkantam Vamsi has found its baddie. According to a source, the latter, after toying with many names, has enlisted the services of Malayalam and Hindi actor Sudev Nair for the part. The project will mark the actor’s debut in Telugu.

An actor and a model, Sudev, for his turn in My Life Partner (2014), won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor. He also received plaudits for Arjun Kapoor-starrer India’s Most Wanted, where he played a role modeled on Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist Yasin Bhatkal. Some of his other famous Malayalam gigs include the ones in Mamangam, One, Bheeshma Parvam, CBI 5: The Brain and Monster.

A source close to #Nithiin32 tells us, “Vamsi was keen on a performer for the role which is a layered one. The role is designed in such a way that after the protagonist, it’s the antagonist who will walk away with the acting honours. Vamsi considered many names before locking in Sudev. He will join the sets next month.”

The untitled film, after being shot in Hyderabad last week, is believed to be in Pune right now for a six-day schedule. The source goes on to add that the unit is looking to complete the film by August-end. “Remaining portions of the film will be shot in Hyderabad, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra-Orissa border,” the source informs.
