As part of Sundarakanda promotions, Nara Rohith gave an interview to Idlebrain Jeevi, where he opened up about his journey from his debut film Baanam to his latest Sundarakanda.

He revealed that Baanam originally didn’t come to him directly—when it didn’t work out with another hero, it came his way. Similarly, Prathinidhi was initially offered to Sree Vishnu, but he suggested Rohith for the role. Speaking about his recent film Bhairavam, Rohith admitted that though it didn’t become a massive success, it managed a moderate box office run and did not entirely disappoint. Some audiences appreciated Manchu Manoj’s role, while others liked his character, and he felt all three lead actors did justice to their parts.

Talking about Sundarakanda, Rohith said his role turned out really well. He plays a typical guy searching for a girl with five qualities. According to him, after watching this film, men over thirty will realize it’s better to get married sooner rather than later. He added that he appears younger than his co-star Sridevi in the film. Rohith also revealed that apart from acting, he is one of the producers of Sundarakanda.

On present-day dating culture, he remarked, “Compared to the past, today’s generation is very different. They are using all sorts of terms, many of which I don’t even understand.” He said his character in Sundarakanda reflects the mindset of an old-fashioned youngster.

Rohith candidly admitted, “Even after doing twenty films, I still don’t know what my market is.” Reflecting on life today, he observed that people live in self-created circles, surrounded by their own boundaries. On social media, he admitted that his fiancée Siri, who understands him well, is much better at handling it than him. He believes Siri is the right life partner for him. At times, he said, one is forced to share things on social media just to please others.

When Jeevi asked him about his body language, Rohith recalled an incident during Prathinidhi shooting when late veteran actor Kota Srinivasa Rao personally called him and said, “You taught me that acting can be done even while sitting.” He also remembered that during Baanam, his director told him not to even move his hand. Perhaps that’s why, Rohith explained, most of his roles turned out to be straight-faced characters, allowing him to act more with expressions and minimal physical movements.

'సుందరకాండ' ప్రమోషన్లో భాగంగా 'ఐడిల్ బ్రెయిన్' జీవికి ఇంటర్వ్యూ ఇచ్చారు నారా రోహిత్. తన మొదటి సినిమా 'బాణం' నుండి 'సుందరకాండ' వరకూ సినిమా కబుర్లన్నీ చెప్పుకుంటూ వచ్చారు. తన మొదటి సినిమా 'బాణం' వేరే హీరో కాదంటే తన వద్దకు వచ్చిందనీ, అలాగే 'ప్రతినిధి' సినిమా కూడా శ్రీవిష్ణు దగ్గరకు వెళ్తే తనను చేయమని చెప్పారన్నారు. ఈమధ్యనే రిలీజ్ అయిన 'భైరవం' అనుకున్నంత భారీగా విజయం సాధించకపోయినా బాక్సాఫీస్ దగ్గర ఓ మోస్తరు కలక్షన్లు రాబట్టుకోగలిగిందని, పూర్తిగా నిరాశ పరచలేదని, ఎక్కువ మందికే ఆ సినిమా చేరిందన్నారు. ఆ సినిమాలో మంచు మనోజ్ పాత్ర కొంతమందికి నచ్చిందని, తన పాత్ర కొంతమందికి నచ్చిందన్నారు. ఎవరి పాత్రలకు తగ్గట్టే తమ పాత్రలకు ముగ్గురం కూడా న్యాయం చేయగలిగామన్నారు.

'సుందరకాండ' లో తన పాత్ర చాలా బాగా వచ్చిందని, ఓ అయిదు క్వాలిటీస్ ఉన్న అమ్మాయి కోసం వెతికే ఒక టిపికల్ అబ్బాయి పాత్రలో కనిపించబోతున్నానన్నారు. ఈ సినిమా చూసిన తరువాత ముప్పై ఏళ్ల వయసు దాటిన అబ్బాయిలు వేగంగా పెళ్లి చేసుకోవడం మంచిదనే జాగ్రత్తలో పడతారన్నారు. ఈ సినిమాలో హీరోయిన్ శ్రీదేవి కంటే చిన్నోడిగా కనిపించబోతున్నానన్నారు. 'సుందరకాండ' సినిమాకు నిర్మాతల్లో తాను కూడా ఒక నిర్మాతన్నారు. ఇప్పుడు నడుస్తున్న డేటింగ్ సంసృతి గురించి మాట్లాడుతూ "గతంతో పోల్చుకుంటే నేటి జనరేషన్ చాలా వ్యత్యాసంగా ఉంది, రకరకాల పదాలు చెప్తున్నారు. అవేంటో కూడా అర్ధం కావడం లేదు" అన్నారు. 'సుందరకాండ' సినిమాలో తన పాత్రలో పాతకాలపు కుర్రాడి తీరే కనిపిస్తుందన్నారు.

ఇరవై సినిమాలు చేసినా తన మార్కెట్ ఏంటో తనకు అర్థమవ్వలేదన్నారు. ఇప్పుడున్న పరిస్థితుల్లో మనిషి తన చుట్టూ తాను గిరిగీసుకొని ఓ వలయంలో బ్రతుకుతున్నాడని, సోషల్ మీడియా విషయంలో తనతో పోల్చుకుంటే తనకు కాబోయే భార్య కాస్త బెటర్ అని, సిరి రూపంలో తనను బాగా అర్ధం చేసుకునే అమ్మాయే తనకు శ్రీమతి కాబోతుందన్నారు. కొన్ని కొన్ని సందర్భాల్లో ఇతరులను సంతోషపెట్టే క్రమంలో బలవంతంగా అయినా కొన్ని కొన్ని విషయాలు సోషల్ మీడియాలో షేర్ చేసుకోవాల్సివస్తుందన్నారు. తన బాడీ లాంగ్వేజ్ గురించి జీవి అడిగిన ప్రశ్నకు సమాధానంగా .. 'ప్రతినిధి' షూటింగ్లో "కూర్చొని కూడా యాక్టింగ్ చేయొచ్చని నేర్పించావ్" అని ఫోన్ చేసి మరీ దివంగత నటుడు కోటా శ్రీనివాసరావు తనతో చెప్పారన్నారు. తన మొదటి సినిమా 'బాణం' టైమ్ లో కూడా ఆ సినిమా దర్శకుడు తన చేతిని సైతం కదపొద్దనేవారని, తన సినిమాల్లో బహుశా ఎక్కువగా ముక్కు సూటిగా మాట్లాడే పాత్రలే అధికంగా చేయడం కూడా తన బాడీ లాంగ్వేజ్ లో శరీరం కదపకుండా హావభావాలతోనే నటించే అవకాశం తనకు దొరికిందేమో అన్నారు
