Victory Venkatesh’s Pongal blockbuster Sankranthiki Vasthunnam has emerged as a sensational hit, shattering expectations and raking in astonishing box office numbers. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film has already made an indelible mark in its first 12 days, surpassing numerous records and solidifying its place as one of the biggest blockbusters in recent regional cinema.
The film is on track to rewrite history, with predictions pointing towards a new regional milestone in areas like Nizam, Ceded, and Vizag, and possibly even breaking top-tier figures in other territories as well. With consistent demand, Saturday screenings were packed to capacity, and ticket sales continued to soar, with more than 170K tickets sold on BookMyShow alone.
Presented by Dil Raju and produced by Shirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam has already grossed an impressive Rs 260 crore worldwide within just 12 days of release, and all signs point toward it easily crossing the Rs 300 crore in full run. The film has been a huge success across the board, delivering double profits for producers and distributors alike.
The North American box office has also contributed significantly, with the movie surpassing $2.6 million, and it is now well-positioned to join the coveted $3 million club.
