Superstar Mahesh Babu on Wednesday heaped high praise on victory Venkatesh-starrer Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which is chugging on with immense steam at the box office after opening in cinemas yesterday as a Sankranti offering.
Describing the film as a proper festive offering, Mahesh went on to laud the lead performances. Opening to fantastic word-of-mouth meant the film is firing on all cylinders at the box office today as well, with almost all centres reporting housefuls. At the rate which it is going, it should enter the Rs 100 crore club tomorrow, trade analysts predict.
Written and directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film follows an ex-cop’s (played by Venkatesh) mission to save an important foreign dignitary from the clutches of goons, while he is sandwiched between his wife (Aishwarya Rajesh) and ex-girlfriend’s (Meenakshi Chaudhary) conduct. Sirish has produced it, while Dil Raju presented it, with Bheems Ceciroleo serving as the music composer.
