Actor Nandamuri Taraka Ratna, who participated in TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh’s padayatra today at Kuppam, was rushed to a hospital for treatment after he fainted. The incident occurred when TDP supporters came out in droves after Lokesh exited a mosque following the launch of his 4,000 km padayatra in TDP bastion Kuppam. The actor is believed to have lost his consciousness and fell down in the ensuing scuffle.

In fact, when he was brought to the hospital he had no pulse and his body had turned blue, reports say. After treating him for 45 minutes, he regained his pulse, following which the doctors began a further course of treatment.

Taraka Ratna’s uncle and Hindupur MLA Balakrishna called on him at the hospital and later, he was shifted to a hospital in Bengaluru for better treatment. His condition is right now stable.

Taraka Ratna, who debuted with Okato Number Kurradu way back in 2002, is looking to contest as an MLA from TDP ticket next year in AP.
