After a glitzy muhurat earlier this month, which went on with much pomp and show, Naga Chaitanya’s next, Thandel, with his Premam director Chandoo Mondeti has gone in front of the cameras on Tuesday.
According to a source, the shoot kicked off at Udupi (Malpe Fort), Karnataka, where Chandoo Mondeti is filming talkie portions on Chaitanya and the other cast. Filming will continue on Chay and Co for another couple of days before leading lady Sai Pallavi joins on the fourth day. The unit will also move to Gokarna a day after Sai Pallavi joins the shoot.
Inspired by real incidents, Thandel is touted to be the most expensive film in Naga Chaitanya’s career, with Bunny Vaas producing it under Geetha Arts, while Allu Aravind is presenting. Chay has hit the gym with a vengeance to play the titular part and he will be seen in a rugged look with long hair and beard.
Chandoo has zeroed in on leading technicians to lend their support to the film. While Uppena and Virupaksha cameraman Shamdat is the director of cinematography, Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad has been tapped to compose music. National Award winning Editor Navin Nooli will take care of the editing, while Srinagendra Tangala is the art director.
Geetha Arts is targeting a Dasara release for the flick.
