We were the first to inform you (Feb 5) that director-turned-actor Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam will be headlining writer-director Pavan Sadineni’s maiden production venture, which the latter is producing along with Kalyan, Bhanu and Vijay. To this end, the latest we hear is that the makers have locked in leading ladies for the project.

A source close to the development tells us exclusively, “Jathi Ratnalu fame Faria Abdullah and Maanasa Choudhary, who made a splash with Bubblegum last year, have been signed on as the leading ladies. Both of them have equal screen presence with well-rounded characters, prompting them to hop on board.”

The untitled film, in a dark comedy space, will be a hilarious laugh riot from first frame to the last. It has been written by Kashyap Srinivas who made an interesting series called Breakup Consultant long ago. “The film will go to floors towards the end of this month. C/o Kancharapalem fame Sweekar Agasthi has been hired as the composer,” the source adds.

To be shot predominantly in Hyderabad, the film will see Sadineni’s favourite JD Chakravarthy playing an antagonist role.
