At the trailer launch of his September 1st release Kushi in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Vijay Deverakonda, who is playing a married man in the film, was asked what is the first thing that comes to his mind when someone broaches a topic related to marriage. To this, the actor replied, “That I need to do it sometime soon. I think it’s around the corner somewhere.”

Is he scared of marriage? “I think I’ve become comfortable with the idea (of getting married). Before, marriage was a word that no one was allowed to say around me. It would immediately agitate and irritate me. But now I’m having conversations around it. I’m enjoying watching my friends get married. I’m enjoying happy marriages and troubled marriages. Everything is entertaining. I hope to have a married life of my own. That’s a chapter in life everyone should experience,” he added.

Vijay, who has begun shooting for two more films–one with Parasuram and another with Gowtam Tinnanuri–is rumoured to be dating his Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade co-star Rashmika Mandanna. But both have maintained that they are good friends.
