After completing a lengthy Visakhapatnam schedule of his next with Gowtam Tinnanuri, Vijay Deverakonda along with his family flew to the US on Tuesday for a vacay. He will be returning to Hyderabad on June 18th and will immediately dive into Gowtam’s flick, whose new schedule is tentatively planned in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

On his birthday last month, Vijay announced a couple of new projects – one with Rahul Sankrityan (#VD14), his Taxiwaala helmer, and another with Ravi Kiran Kola (#SVC59) of Raja Vaaru Rani Vaaru fame. While Ravi’s film will take precedence shoot-wise, we’ve learnt from sources it is likely to go to floors this September, with the pre-production in full swing. “Gowtam’s film might not be wrapped up until then but chances are that Vijay will be juggling both the sets. Ravi’s film is a period rural action drama set in the backdrop of local politics. A majority of the supporting cast will include fresh faces, with the casting process going on for over three months,” points out a source.

The source goes on to add that Ravi is planning to shoot outdoor portions in Visakhapatnam, Kakinada and the set portions in Hyderabad. “Although a couple of names are in consideration, there’s no heroine attached to the project yet. The music director too hasn’t been finalized,” the source concludes.

Sharing the poster of this untitled film on his 35th birthday, Vijay wrote on X, “The blood on my hands is not of their death, but of my own rebirth.”
