Looks like Vijay Deverakonda is on a signing spree. Already a part of two projects–one with Parasuram and the other with Gowtam Tinnanuri– which are in various stages of production, the actor has Rahul Sankrityan, his Taxiwaala director, lined up for next year. Now, he has green-lit one more project and it will be helmed by Ravi Kiran Kola, who made the endearing Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru more than three-and-a-half three years ago.
A source close to the development tells us, “Ravi has been working on an ambitious idea for more than three years. Initially another production house was supposed to produce it but later Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations came on board. Ravi pitched the script to Vijay Deverakonda recently and the actor took an instant liking to it. Although his date diary is filled to the brim, the actor decided to go ahead with the project.”
The source adds, “The project is an action-drama set in a political backdrop. The action will be raw and rustic, with Vijay set to play a role he never played. East Godavari will serve as the setting for the film.”
With SVC officially set to announce the inclusion of Vijay in the project shortly, the pre-production will kick off. This untitled project will be Vijay’s second association with SVC camp; he is already headlining their flick with Parasuram.
