With Sharwanand no longer attached to the project, the casting of lyricist-turned-director Krishna Chaitanya’s next with Vishwak Sen is undergoing a major rejig. Raashi Khanna and Priyamani were roped in for key roles when Sharwa was the face of the project, with Raashi even participating in the muhurat last year. With Vishwak on board now, things have taken a turn.

According to a source close to the unit, the team has already got in touch with Anjali and DJ Tillu fame Neha Shetty to play the new female leads. “Both the actresses were given narrations and they evinced their interest to be a part of the project. Other formalities are being discussed right now. If everything falls in place, both will be a part of the project or else the team will be looking at other options,” chips in a source exclusively to us.

Set in the backdrop of Godavari belt, the untitled movie, a Sithara Entertainments production, is a political drama with a generous dose of humour and narrates the rags to riches journey of a common man (to be played by Vishwak). Yuvan Shankar Raja is on board to compose the music, while the source adds that the team has got the nod of Jimshi Khalid to be the cameraman. He received praise for the way he went about photographing Malayalam film Thallumaala.
