In addition to Trisha Krishnan, who is playing the female lead in megastar Chiranjeevi-starrer Vishwambhara, the film will also see Express Raja fame Surbhi in a prominent role, idlebrain.com has learnt exclusively from sources. The Delhi girl, who made her debut with Beeruva opposite Sundeep Kishan in 2015, has gone on to do films like Express Raja, Gentleman, Okka Kshanam and Sashi in her career. “While the nature of her role in Vishwambhara is under a tight lock and key as it is still early days, Surbhi has got a meaty part. She has already joined the sets,” sources confirm.

Vishwambhara, slotted for Sankranti next year, is presently on a schedule break. Having gone in front of the cameras last November, the film has already completed multiple schedules and the new schedule will begin on February 24. Megastar Chiranjeevi, who is on a short vacay to the US, will return to Hyderabad later this week and will join the sets on Feb 24th itself. “This outing will go until March 18 or 19th, witnessing primarily talkie portions being completed. Hyderabad will host this leg. The likes of Harsh Vardhan, Vennela Kishore and Praveen are on board for supporting roles in the film,” sources add.

The prestigious UV Creations is pooling in resources for the project, an MM Keeravani musical. Describing the film as a commercial fantasy entertainer, Vassishta Mallidi, the writer-director earlier told us, “It will resonate with children more. It’s like a Disney film. It’s a new genre for Telugu cinema. Fans will get to see Chiru garu the way they want to see. Its cent percent guaranteed. The elements that fans expect from a Chiru entertainer will be in droves in the film. We are creating a new world.”
