Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja-starrer Mr. Bachchan which released amid a lot of hype on Independence Day failed to live up to expectations, ending up as a clunker at the box office. In a post release interview to a YouTube channel, film’s producer TG Vishwa Prasad went on to admit that the script lacked the killer punch in the second half, and that it is not without its flaws. However, some portals misconstrued it wrongly and reported that the producer found fault with Harish, especially the latter’s devil-may-care attitude and his forthright nature towards the media. This, it seems, had a bearing on the film’s box office.

Prasad, however, took to X and clarified that Harish Shankar is a friend first and later both collaborated for the movie. He requested the media to be kind and ‘not interpret’ between the lines, while noting that Harish is a good human being who assured to compensate distributors losses from his paycheck. “Harish Shankar is a friend first and then we collaborated for the movie. There may be some learnings, however in my recent interview to the media I shared some learnings and clearly told success attributes many positives and if there is limited success there will be lots of feedback and we need to take it. This is no way I commented on Harish and we are happy to work with him again and he has extraordinary abilities in film making. A very good human who right away responded to compensate any losses to the distributors from his remuneration. Requesting Media to be kind and not interpret between lines. We use all our learnings and get back with a massive movie,” the chief of People Media Factory wrote.
