Writer-turned-director KS Ravindra aka Bobby has increased the expectations surrounding Waltair Veerayya multifold with his speech at a fans meet recently. “My hunger was that whistle shouldn’t stop after once; the treatment of the film is such that you (fans) will whistle, feeling his (Megastar’s) presence. You will feel the adrenaline rush and will have goosebumps even before you see him. You can take it from me. We’ve designed an extraordinary introduction sequence for him; it was designed amid a storm on a sea. Others can manage the same scene saying that they will come for the last two days after the director shoots it with a body double. But the greatness of Chiranjeevi garu is that he didn’t use a body double. Every day he would withstand rain from top and the force of propellers and waves from sides. The unit would freeze with cold but he didn’t even go to his caravan. He would shoot with his wet clothes. We shot the scene for 10 days and it will make everyone glued to their seats,” Bobby declared.

While directors will generally be a nervous bunch ahead of the release of their films, Bobby reveals he isn’t. “I’m waiting for January 13 more than the fans. Chiranjeevi garu saw the film a couple of days ago. Here is an actor who has done 154 films. He must’ve listened to 1,000 stories and rejected 500 of them. We didn’t know how he would react and so, we couldn’t sleep that night. After the completion, he said, ‘Blockbuster, double blockbuster. Thank you so much Bobby’. That praise is still ringing in my ears. It is the reason why I’m not nervous,” Bobby added.

Also featuring Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan, Bobby Simha and Samuthirakani, Waltair Veerayya, a Mythri Movie Makers production, has earworms by Devi Sri Prasad.
