The trailer of megastar Chiranjeevi-starrer Waltair Veerayya, one of the anticipated flicks of this festive season was released by production house Mythri Movie Makers sometime back.

What seems to be a whistle-worthy commercial trailer loaded with all the elements that are missing from recent megastar’s films, it commences with a befitting dialogue – Mass Ane Padaniki Boddu Kosi Peretindhae Ayanni Susi – introducing the megastar amid choppy waters in an ocean. One can spot Chiru indulging in some fun banter with his gang (of Sreenivas Reddy and Shakalala Shankar) in Malaysia as Shruti Haasan is introduced as a five-star property receptionist. His Srikakulam accent accentuates the fun further. After more characters like Sathyraj, Catherine Tresa, Prabhas Sreenu and BVS Ravi are introduced; the trailer gets into serious mode as a major tragedy leaves many children dead, leaving Veerayya frustrated. As Mime Gopi, Bobby Simha and Prakash Raj make their entry, it is evident that the story has a huge span, traversing international borders. The last one minute is reserved to the combination shots of the megastar and mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, the latter of who is introduced as a no nonsense cop. As shots of explosions, gun fires, vehicles flying in the air and swift dance moves fill the rest of the trailer, Bobby manages to give a final touch which leaves the fans of both the stars in splits. In a role reversal of sorts, Ravi Teja warns Chiru, in a police station, with the help of the latter’s famous dialogue from Gharana Mogudu: Hello Masteru Face Konchem Left Turning Ichukondi, Okokkoniniki Boxlu Baddalaipothay. Chiru counters it with: Entra Baddalayyedi? Ee City Ki Neelanti Commissionerlu Vasthuntaru, Pothuntaru Kaani Ikkada Veeraya, Local. Guess you need not be told from which film the dialogue is, right? Overall, it ticks all the boxes for a proper Sankranti bonanza.

Set to release on the 13th of this month, Waltair Veerayya has earworms by Devi Sri Prasad.
