The exquisite sweetness in the lyrics of Annamayya sankeertanas became known to the entire musical world in 1980 with the release of the audio renditions of ‘Adivo alladivo Sreehari vasamu‘, ‘Govindasrita gokula brunda‘, ‘Chalada Harinama soukhyamrutam tamaku’, ‘Emoko chigurutadharamuna’, ‘Sirutanavvulavadu sinneka‘ by Dr. Shobha Raju. This great movement started by her in 1978 evolved into a mighty spiritual and musical awareness and is inspiring all even today.

Her musical penance through the sankeertanas has taken shape into a permanent abode at Annamayyapuram in Hyderabad. Annamayyapuram is the home for one of its kind temple, where Lord Venkateswara and Annamayya idols are installed in the same sanctum. By the grace of the Lord and the Sadguru, this unique temple is gracing the devotees at Annamayyapuram with miraculous experiences. This temple has become a mother who provides relief to the devotees visiting with problems and in sorrow. Annamayyapuram has become the launchpad, providing wonderful careers to several aspiring and young singers.

Every program organized by Annamacharya Bhavana Vahini under the able leadership of Dr Shobha Raju is meticulously handcrafted with the objective of eradication of thought pollution through divine music. This has become a trendsetting practice followed by many.

The determination she has displayed, the sacrifices she has made, the resolve she has shown to move ahead despite any kind of obstacle, her incomparable talent, her blissful singing which touches the innermost of our hearts – have instilled a belief in us that Dr Shobha Raju is born for the divine purpose of spreading the philosophy of Saint Annamacharya.

ఆమె సంకీర్తనా తపస్సు హైదరాబదులోని అన్నమయ్యపురంగా స్థిరపడింది. అన్నమయ్య, వేంకటేశ్వరులిరువురూ ఒకే గర్భాలయంలో వెలసిన మహిమాన్విత ఆలయంగా శోభిస్తోంది. బాధాతప్త హ్రుదయాలకు ఊరటనిచ్చే తల్లి వొడిగా మారింది. ఎందరో యువ గాయనీగాయకులకు ప్రేరణగా, ప్రొత్సాహకరంగా రూపొందింది.
