Dallas, TX: Telugu Association of North America (TANA) organized "Dhim TANA Competitons” on Saturday, April 25th 2015 at Irving High School Auditorium in a grand style from 9 AM in morning until 6 PM in the evening. Almost 100 people participated in these competitions which included solo singing, group dancing, Miss Teen TANA and Mrs. TANA categories. The program was kicked off with welcome note by TANA Southwest Regional Representative Dr. Rajesh Adusumilli.
For the Solo Singing segment, singer/instructor Jaya Kalyani is the MC and conducted it flawlessly for over four hours. Sharada Singireddy, Chandrahas Maddukuri and Raghuram Burra provided excellent support for this segment. Accomplished singers Srinivas Eyyunni and Chandrahas Maddukuri are the judges for the non-classical singing category. Aiswarya Rajagopalan and Sirisha Eyunni are the judges for classical singing category. 25 contestants competed in the singing category. In the film/folk sub-juniors category Sai Tanmayi Eyyunni is the winner. In the film/folk juniors category Pragna Brahmmadevara is the 1st Place winner, 2nd place is shared by Kirti Chamkura and Sriya Vaskarla. 3rd place went to Veda Ramarapu. In the film/folk seniors category winner is Akhil Mulukutla. In the classical sub-juniors category Sai Tanmayi Eyyunni is the winner. In the classical juniors category Abhiram Tadepalli won the 1st place and Ashwin Kundeti won the 2nd place. In the classical seniors category Mytreyi Abburu is the winner.
Group Dance segment is coordinated well by Jasmitha Tummala with the support of Krishnaveni Seelam and Lakshmi Paleti. Accomplished dance instructors Dr. Sudha Kalavagunta, Krithika Mukund and Ranjeetha Arya are the judges. More than 30 contestants competed in the group dance category. In the classical dance juniors category Samhitha Bandaru and Sreeragini Ghantasala won the 1st Place winner, Sannidhi Udayagiri and Vrithika Indur won the 2nd place. In the classical seniors category 1st place winners are Suman Vadlamani, Vaishnavi Yalamareddy, Sobhita Pochiraju and Silpita Pochiraju. 2nd place winners are Yashasvi Pindi, Sampreethi Bingi and Nishanka Reddy. In the film/folk sub-juniors category winners are Maanvi Kongara, Shabda Modugu, Rishika Thota, Ishita Ratnakaram, Saanvi Gangaadhara, Shriya Kaza and Dhatri Tadimeti. In the film/folk juniors category winners are Sriya Vaskarla, Pritika Shree Thotakura, Avani, Snigdha Eleswarapu, Sonika Podduturi, Shriya Telakalapalli. In the film/folk seniors category winners are Samhita Bandaru, Sreeragini Ghantasala, Suman Vadlamani, Vaishnavi Yalamareddy, Sobhita Pochiraju and Silpita Pochiraju.
Beauty pageant has been designed and managed superbly by Anu Sirigina and Anu Adusumilli. Dr. Mahesh Gondi, Sandhya eddpuganti and Ranjeetha Arya are the judges. In the Miss Teen competitions winner is Nartana Kalavagunta and runner-up is Minali Nemani. In the Mrs. TANA competitions winner is Padmasree Thota and runner-up is Vinila Kanakamedala.
All the winners and participants received certificates and medals. The event which ran for over 8 hours included young and energetic participants who captured the hearts of the audience with their mesmerizing performances. The audience was spellbound and enjoyed every single moment of the program. TANA Past President Dr. Prasad Thotakura, TANTEX President Dr. Narasimha Reddy Urimindi, TANTEX President-elect Subbu Jonnalagadda, TANA Committee Chairs Uma Yalamanchi, Srikanth Polavarapu, Paramesh Devineni, LK Gorrepati along with Ravi Macha, Geetha Bandaru and Deepthi Gorrepati graced the event and provided support.
In the Vote of Thanks, Dr. Rajesh Adusumilli thanked the sponsors Omega Travels, MG Family Dentistry, Krishna Training, Tanmai Jewelers and Sarigama Café and Supermarket.
