One of our fellow Telugu community member Sai Dondapati passed away as a result of liver failure in St.Louis, MO. He was diagnosed with a Tumor recently and was receiving treatment. He was admitted into Saint Johns Mercy hospital on Aug 8th evening with internal bleeding, and was shifted to Barnes Jewish hospital for better treatment. Doctors were able to stop internal bleeding on August 8th and Sai was doing better till August 10th morning until his liver failed. He was 32 years old.

Sai came from a small village called Sabjivani Palam next to Machilipatnam. After losing his mother, Sai went through a lot during his college days, lost his brother a few years later due to similar health problems. His brother had a young son, whom Sai took in and was responsible for. Before he passed away, Sai was taking care of both his elder father and his brother's son. He was always very responsible spending his earnings on his father's medical treatment and providing best possible education for this brother's son.

While we convey our deep regards to his family, it is also time for our community to stand by them and support them in ways possible just like we always do.

Sai was as much responsible socially in the community and has always engaged in community service. Many people remember him as someone who was always there for them, working with a positive attitude, never saying no to anyone in anything they ask, and someone who could always be counted on before he departed this world leaving his smile with us.

North America Telugu Society (NATS) requests the fellow members of Telugu community to support our Sai's family and stand by them and show the solidarity as they grieve through this unfortunate incident for their loved one.

రండి మానవత్వంతో స్పందిద్దాం: నాట్స్ సాయి దొండపాటి కుటుంబాన్ని ఆదుకుందాం.

అమెరికాలో ఉపాధి కోసం వచ్చిన సాయి దొండపాటి ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు. 32 ఏళ్ల సాయి దొండపాటి కి లివర్ ఫెయిల్ కావడంతో సెయింట్ లూఇస్, ముస్సొరి లో కన్నుమూశారు.మచిలిపట్నం సమీపంలోని సబ్జీవానిపాలెం కు చెందిన సాయి అమెరికాలోని ఉద్యోగం సంపాదించాడు. పేద కుటుంబలో పుట్టిన సాయి దోనపాటి ఎంతో కష్టపడి ఉన్నత చదువులు అభ్యసించారు. కుటుంబానికి పెద్ద దిక్కుగా ఉన్నారు. తల్లిని కోల్పోయిన సాయి దొండపాటి అన్న కూడా ఇటీవలే ఇండియాలో మరణించాడు. తన అన్న కుటుంబ బాధ్యతలు కూడా సాయి భుజానికెత్తుకున్నాడు. తన అన్నకొడుకును చదివిస్తున్నాడు. అనారోగ్యంతో ఉన్న తండ్రికి వైద్యం చేయిస్తున్నాడు. అయితే ఊహించని రీతిలో ఇప్పుడు విధి సాయి దొండపాటి ని కూడా తీసుకెళ్లిపోయింది.. సాయి కుటుంబానికి ఆదరవు లేకుండా చేసింది. ఈ సమయంలోనే నాట్స్ మానవత్వంతో స్పందించింది. సాయి కుటుంబాన్ని ఆదుకునేందుకు విరాళాల సేకరణకు సంకల్పించింది. మానవత్వంతో స్పందించే ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ సాయం చేయాలని నాట్స్ పిలుపునిస్తోంది. విరాళాలు అందించేందుకు నాట్స్ వెబ్ సైట్ లో సంప్రదించమని కోరుతోంది.
