As a part of their Health and Wellness programs, Telugu Association of North America (TANA) conducted an Acupressure Workshop on Sunday, July 21st at the Mayuri India Restaurant in Dallas, Texas. This event was presided over by Dr. Rajesh Adusumilli, Southwest Region Representative of TANA. A large number of Telugu people participated in this event with great deal of interest and enthusiasm to learn about natural therapy and alternative approaches for health and wellbeing.
The program started with a prayer by Dr. Raghavendra Prasad. Rajesh welcomed the workshop attendees and introduced renowned master in natural therapy and acupressure Professor K. Ravindran to the audience. In the first half of the session Prof. Ravindran explained in detail about the relation between nature and human body; how to discover the treasure of good health that is within the body. In the latter half of the session he called upon the people with various ailments like low back pain, neck pain, thyroid problems, diabetes; performed acupressure procedures on them and to everyone’s amazement, provided relief from their suffering. He also taught these acupressure techniques to the attendees and coached them on efficient use of acupressure in day to day life. People who attended this workshop are immensely happy to be there and thanked TANA for organizing such a useful event to the community.
The event was attended by Immediate Past-President of TANA Prasad Thotakura, TANA Board Director Ram Yalamanchili, TANA Foundation Treasurer Manjulatha Kanneganti. TANA members Murali Vennam, Sreekanth Polavarapu, Anil Veerapaneni, Chala Konadrakunta, Samba Dodda, Ramu Narne, Paramesh Devineni, Anil Arepally and other TANA team members have done a commendable job by coordinating the event flawlessly. Members of the TANTEX team including President Suresh Manduva, Narasimha Reddy Urimindi, Subrmanyam Jonnalagadda, Balki Chamakura, Satish Punnam and Sarada Singireddy actively participated in the event.
Rajesh Adusumilli in his vote of thanks expressed gratitude to Bhavana Kalluri and Ganga Devadas who have been instrumental in designing this session. He thanked all the TANA and TANTEX team members for supporting the event, Mayuri India Restaurant for providing venue and all the attendees who sat through four hours of workshop with immense interest and attention.
