INDIANAPOLIS – It was a moment of pride and honor for all fellow Hoosier Indian community leaders as they joined Hon’ble Governor Eric Holcomb today at the state house to celebrate 68th Indian Republic Day in Indiana.
Hoosier Indians congratulated Governor Holcomb on his election. Speaking at the informal gathering, Governor Holcomb thanked the fellow Hoosiers for joining him and remarked that he is looking forward to an opportunity to plan a delegation to India and also visit and see his favorite monument, Tajmahal in person.
The India community leaders present at the occasion included Indiana India Business Council President Raju Chinthala and IIBC Executive committee, Secretary, Sravan Patharla and Treasurer, Chandra Krishnamaneni, India Association Of Indianapolis (IAI ) Chairperson Sumeeta Bhatia, former President Sash Goyal and executive committee members Venkata Tadikonda and Sivakumar Vavilala, committee members from Greater Indianapolis Telugu Association (GITA) including President Naveen Cirigiri, executive committee members Varun Bongu were also present.
Mr. Raju Chinthala presented a marble stone made Tajmahal statue as a token of appreciation to Governor Holcomb. GITA extended invitation to Governor Holcomb to the upcoming Sankranthi celebrations.
