Telugu Desam party young dynamic leader and Telugu Desam party Activitists Fund Convener Mr. Nara Lokesh Meet and Greet with Telugu community in New Jersey became a grand success. Currently Mr.Nara Lokesh is touring in USA to promote Village Adoption among NRIs and to urge the NRIs to be part of Smart A.P. and Smart Village initiative.

In his New Jersey trip, Nara Lokesh received tremendous response from Telugu NRIs. The event was conducted in Edison, New Jersey. The day kicked off with a rousing reception to Mr.Nara Lokesh in airport from Telugu Desam party supporters. Later, a huge car rally followed to the venue with more than 150 vehicles in a huge convey. This is the biggest ever rally in New Jersey and enthusiastic party supporters participated in this rally and gave thunder response to Mr.Nara Lokesh. Just for a short distance of less than 2 miles, it took around an hour to reach the venue.

Bhramaji Valiveti, Mohana Krishna Mannava and Bachi Kalapatapu organized this event. Several Prominent NRIs, Telugu Community leaders and TDP Supporters attended this event. TANA President Mohan Nannapaneni spoke in the event and mentioned that TANA foundation would adopt 100 villages. NATS Chairman Dr.Madhu Korrapati appreciated the concept of Village adoption and pledged that NATS would be adopting 100 villages. Other prominent speakers include Gangadhar Desu, NATS Director and Jay Talluri, Chairman TANA Foundation, Sreedhar Appasani, Secretary, NATS Board of Directors and Ravi Potluri, TANA Jt.Secretary elect.

Prominent businessman Mr.Bhramaji Valiveti spoke in detail about the importance of adopting village from his own experience of having adopted his village 14 years ago under the Janma Bhoomi program initiated by Chandra Babu Naidu. NATS Vice President Mohana Krishna Mannava spoke in detail about the various activities NRITDP has taken up in New Jersey when TDP was in opposition and he also appreciated various initiatives of Lokesh – Starting a Fund for the welfare of Telugu Desam party activists and providing insurance to over 50 lakhs TDP activists which is first time for any political party in the history and for championing the ‘Adopt your village’ cause.

Later, Mr.Nara Lokesh spoke in detail and his speech received huge response from the attendees. Nara Lokesh thanked all the NRIs for their time and efforts. Mr.Nara Lokesh mentioned that he is reaching out to NRIs to fulfill his father Chandrababu Naidu’s wish of developing villages as smart villages and he requested the attendees to actively get involved in the ‘Village Adoption’ program. Mr.Nara Lokesh gave a detailed presentation on ‘Smart Village’ and ‘Smart A.P’ concept. He mentioned that basic infrastructure necessities like ‘Sanitation’, ‘Roads’, ‘Street Lights’, Drinking water’ etc should be first addressed in order to achieve the goal of ‘Smart Andhra Pradesh’. Later a long Q&A session followed and he answered several questions of NRIs on various topics - ‘Village Adoption’, ‘Investment Opportunities in mother land’ etc. Inspired by Nara Lokesh’s vision and ideas for the Development of the state, 780 villages were adopted in this meeting and many people pledged that they would be involving their friends as well to have a goal of adopting 1000 villages. It was a very long event and he posed photos with everyone and he chatted with several people. All the attendees were very appreciative of Nara Lokesh’s patience and warm gesture.
