NATS Sambaralu team, in association with Red Cross Southern California division, has successfully conducted Blood Drive yesterday commemorating World Blood Donor Day on June 14th 2015 in Eastvale California. NATS Sambaralu Team has chosen this special day to bring our community together and donote blood.

The blood drive was fully organized by Community Services committee and main attraction for the event was young adults and kids that were requesting everyone to donate blood to help save lives. Many adults were impressed on how the kids have pulled this event together and how they were educating everyone the importance of donating blood. The blood drive was organized in Albertsons Parking lot in Eastvale and the members of Albertsons store were gracious in supporting the great cause.

Becky Cogley – Director, Red Cross Southern California has congratulated NATS Sambaralu team and recognized all the young volunteers that have made this event a grand success. A total of 57 members have donated blood and 42 total units were collected. She mentioned that about 126 patients will be benefitted from this blood drive and has remarked as a very productive day for Red Cross.

NATS Sambaralu Executive Director, Dr. Venkat Alapati has appreciated young volunteers Siri Bandaru, Madhumita Kolluri, Neha Valluri, Sruti Bandaru and Harshi Kellampalli for their due diligence and was impressed with how they have conducted the blood drive. When asked about the preparations for Sambaralu 2015, he mentioned that progress is being made in every group and the team is progressing with full steam ahead. Sambaralu 2015 is a flagship biennial convention conducted by NATS and for 2015, it is held in Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, California.

కాలిఫోర్నియాలో నాట్స్ సంబరాల టీం రక్తదానం

సేవే గమ్యం అనే నినాదంతో ముందుకు సాగే ఉత్తర అమెరికా తెలుగు సంఘం నాట్స్ .. అదే బాటలో ఎన్నో సేవా కార్యక్రమాలు చేపడుతోంది. తాజాగా ప్రపంచ రక్తదాన దినోత్సవంలో కూడా నాట్స్ సంబరాల టీం నేనుసైతమంటూ రక్తదాన కార్యక్రమాన్ని రెడ్ క్రాస్ సదరన్ కాలిఫోర్నియా డివిజన్ తో కలిసి చేపట్టింది. ఈస్ట్ వేల్ కాలిఫోర్నియాలో చేపట్టిన ఈ రక్తదాన శిబిరానికి దాతల నుంచి మంచి స్పందన వచ్చింది. రక్తదానం ప్రాముఖ్యతను దాని వల్ల కలిగే ప్రయోజనాలను నాట్స్ వాలంటీర్లు,ముఖ్యంగా చిన్న పిల్లలు కూడా వివరించారు. రక్తదానంతో ప్రాణాలను ఎలా రక్షించవచ్చనేది చిన్నపిల్లలు వివరించడం అందరిని ఆకట్టుకుంది. మొత్తం 57 మంది ఈ శిబిరంలో రక్తదానం చేశారు. 126 మంది రోగులు ఈ రక్తదానం వల్ల లబ్ధి పొందుతారని రెడ్ క్రాస్ తెలిపింది. యువవాలంటీర్లు, చిన్నారులు ఈ రక్తదాన శిబిరం విజయవంతం కావడానికి చేసిన సేవలను వెంకట్ ఆలపాటి కొనియాడారు. ముఖ్యంగా సిరి బండారు, మధుమిత కొల్లూరి, నేహా వల్లూరి, శృతి బండారు, హర్షి కెల్లంపల్లి లను నాట్స్ సంబరాల టీం అభినందించింది. ఇదే రక్తదాన శిబిరంలో సేవే లక్ష్యంగా సాగుతున్న నాట్స్ ప్రతి రెండేళ్లకొక్కసారి భారీ ఎత్తున నిర్వహించే సంబరాల గురించి వివరించారు. లాస్ ఏంజిల్స్ అనహేం కన్వెన్ష్ సెంటర్ లో జరుగుతున్న ఈ సంబరాలను ఘనంగా నిర్వహించేందుకు జరుగుతున్న ఏర్పాట్లను నాట్స్ తెలిపింది.
