Chicago Telugu Association’s Diwali Celebrations a Huge Success – Large number of Telugu Families gathered to celebrate Diwali in traditional manner with lots of fun and entertainment for everybody. Diwali Celebrations conducted by Chicago Telugu Association on November 15, 2015 at Eola Community Centre in Chicago, brought the Telugu people in and around Chicago together.

Program started off lord Ganesha prayer and followed by welcome address by CTA President Mr. Nagendra Vege explained the objectives and various programs conducted by CTA during last 6 months. Mr. Nagendra Vege explained the importance of Diwali in Indian Culture as the triumph of good over evil.

Young kids performed traditional Kuchipudi dance depicting Indian culture with joyous movements. Diwali Event was attended by about 250 telugu people for unmatched entertainment. This was a great event and huge success and great display of Telugu Youth. Several games were conducted for adults and kids. Several games around Telugu Culture, Language and Culture was instant hit with audience and participated very enthusiastically by all. Delicious Telugu authentic food was served by food committee and Mahila committee.

Mahila committee members including Sujana Achanta, Rani Vege, Lohitha, Havela Devarapalli, Bindu Balineni, Karishma Pilla has successfully organized this event.

Mr. Subba Rao, Secretary of CTA thanked all participants including NATS President Mr. Ravi Achanta for attending the event. Mr. Madan Pamulapati conducted vote of thanks and thanked all volunteers including Mr. Prithvi Chalasani, Mr. Manohar Pamulapati, Srini Boppana, Mr. Murthy Koppaka, Mahesh Kakarala, Murali Kalagara, Ramesh Maryala and many others in helping coordinate this event.

చికాగోలో తెలుగువారి దీపావళి సంబరాలు
సీటీఏ, నాట్స్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో వేడుకలు

అమెరికాలోని తెలుగువాళ్లు దీపావళి పండుగను ఘనంగా జరుపుకున్నారు. చికాగో తెలుగు అసోసియేషన్, నాట్స్ చికాగో ఆధ్వర్యంలో జరిగిన దీపావళి వేడుకలు అంబరాన్నంటాయి. సంస్కృతి, సంప్రదాయం ఉట్టిపడేలా దుస్తులు ధరించిన తెలుగు వాళ్లు పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో వేడుకలో పాల్గొన్నారు. ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ ఆనంద పారవశ్యంలో మునిగితేలారు.

నవంబర్ 15న చికాగోలోని ఇయోలా కమ్యూనిటీ సెంటర్ లో చికాగో తెలుగు అసోసియేషన్ దీపావళి సంబరాలు నిర్వహించింది. చికాగోలో నివసిస్తున్న తెలుగు వారందరినీ ఒక దగ్గరకు చేర్చింది. ముందుగా గణాధ్యక్షుడి ప్రార్థనతో పండుగ మొదలైంది. తరువాత వేడుకలను ఉద్దేశిస్తూ ప్రసంగించిన సీటీఏ అధ్యక్షుడు నాగేంద్ర వేగె... గత ఆరు నెలల కాలంలో చికాగో తెలుగు అసోసియేషన్ నిర్వహించిన కార్యక్రమాలు, సాధించిన లక్ష్యాలను వివరించారు. చెడుపై మంచి సాధించిన విజయానికి గుర్తే దీపావళి అంటూ పండగ ప్రాశస్త్యాన్ని తెలియజేశారు. అనంతరం భారతీయ సంస్కృతిని వర్ణిస్తూ ప్రదర్శించిన కూచిపూడి నృత్యం అందరినీ అలరించింది. వివిధ వినోద కార్యక్రమాలు నిర్వహించిన ఈ వేడుకలకు సుమారు 250 మంది హాజరయ్యారు. తెలుగు యువత పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో పాల్గొన్న వేడుకలు గ్రాండ్ సక్సెస్ అయ్యాయి. పైగా దీపావళి సందర్భంగా టపాసులే కాదు.. పిల్లలు, పెద్దల కోసం ఆటల పోటీలు కూడా నిర్వహించారు. తెలుగు సంస్కృతి, భాష పై అప్పటికప్పుడు నిర్వహించిన రకరకాల ఆటలకు ప్రేక్షకుల నుంచి అనూహ్య స్పందన వచ్చింది. వచ్చినవాళ్లందరూ ఉత్సాహంగా పాల్గొన్నారు.

ఇక ఫుడ్ కమిటీ, మహిళా కమిటీ అచ్చమైన తెలుగు భోజనాన్ని వడ్డించారు. అంతేకాదు, మహిళా కమిటీ సభ్యులు సుజనా ఆచంట, రాణి వేగె, లోహిత, హవేలా దేవరపల్లి, బిందు బాలినేని, కరిష్మా పిల్లా వేడుకలు విజయవంతం అవడానికి కృషి చేశారు. చికాగో తెలుగు అసోసియేషన్ సెక్రటరీ సుబ్బారావు వచ్చిన వారందరికీ కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు. నాట్స్ అధ్యక్షుడు రవి ఆచంటకు ప్రత్యేక కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు. వేడుకల్లో స్వచ్ఛందంగా సాయం అందించిన పృథ్వి చలసాని, మనోహర్ పాములపాటి, శ్రీని బొప్పన్న, మూర్తి కొప్పాక, మహేష్ కాకరాల, మురళి కలగర, రమేష్ మార్యాలతో పాటు కార్యక్రమం విజయవంతం అవడానికి సమన్వయం చేసిన వారందరికీ మదన్ పాములపాటి కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు.
