Telugu Association of Central Ohio has celebrated their Sankranthi celebrations and Indian Republic day event on Jan 25th 2014 sharply at 2:30PM at Westerville north high school in suburbs of Columbus Ohio under extreme weather conditions. Even with heavy snow fall around nine hundred or nine hundred plus people have showed up to the event. This event was run by 2014 Executive Committee under the leadership of its President Mr. Sridhar Kesani. 2014 year is special one for TACO since it is celebrating its 30th year. During the event kids and adults have performed various shows related to Sankranthi tradition/heritage and kids fashion show. The highlight of the event was the republic day theme show. All these events were organized under the leader ship of the Mrs. Navya Kuppa Vice-President (Culture)

TACO has launched 2014 first ever Telugu Calendar with Central Ohio timings under the guidance of Mr. Jagannath Chalasani Vice-president (Admin). This Telugu version calendar has Columbus local version muhurthas. This calendar was inaugurated by pundits on this event and presented to all sponsors. All TACO members received free Telugu calendar. TACO has announced “2014 TACO” calendar app in Google play store.

TACO felicitated Sri Venkata Ramamohan rao Rachuri, Mr. Venkat Rao Guti for their outstanding support to the Telugu community in the central Ohio. Both Gentlemen have stressed for unity of Telugu community. TACO has also felicitated outgoing trustee Mr. Suresh Pudhota for his service to TACO in the last five years. 2014 Executive committee presented appreciation mementos to entire 2013 Executive committee for their dedicated service to the community during the year 2013.

TACO observed a minute silence to Late Padmasri Akkineni Nageswara Rao and conveyed its condolences to his family.

TACO life time membership and new constitution has been launched this year. TACO has elected its first ever woman trustee Mrs. Radhika Dega for a two year term on life membership committee and Mr. Murali Putti as three year term on life membership committee. A new committee was formed for the life membership fund management under the chairmanship of Mr. Srihari Kosaraju, Mr. Srinivas Rao Sanga and Mr. Rajesh Sakhamuru. Curreent Trustees Venkata ramamna Pattipati, Anil Gogineni and Revuru Ramchandar Rao congratulated new trustees.

TACO served a true delicious Telugu dinner with Arisallu which were shipped all the way from Vijayawada, India

2014 Telugu Association of Central Ohio President Mr. Sridhar Kesani thanked 2014 Executive Committee, Volunteers, Sponsors and people who have made this event a grand success. 2014 President introduced its new EC to the audience and announced 2014 upcoming events. In 2014, Team is planning to conduct lot of sports activities such as Table tennis, Caroms, Chess, throw ball, volley ball, cricket and Shuttle Badminton under the leadership of sports vice president Mr. Phani Bhushan Potluri. 2014 executive committee planning a big event in summer for celebrating TACO 30 years.
