Badminton has became most famous sporting activity for Telugu people in world, Since prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna winner, Dronocharya Award winner, Padma Bushan Award winner and Indian Chief Badminton Coach Sri Pullela Gopichand who had became inspiration among telugu's.
On 08-03-2014 Saturday from 9.30 until evening 6.00 pm Telugu association of London has conducted Mega final championship with 32 qualifier for the final in men's doubles category, and 16 mixed doubles teams on Grand Finals matches in Osterly Sports Center in Hounslow. Zonal matches were conducted in West & East London areas were total 80 teams participated and around 100 Telugu families involved along with children and viewed the tournament.
Sri Pullela Gopichand (Indian Badminton Chief Coach) and Mr Amir Ghaffar (England Start Badminton Player until 2005) visited as chief guest and given valuable message, they participated in prized distribution of 3rd TAL conducted National Badminton tournament along with Founder member Dasoji Ramuloo Garu, Chairman Sanjay Bhiraju Garu, Trustee Hari Prasad, Sports Secretaries Ravi Sabba, Ganesh Kumar, Balaji Calluru, Ex-Interim Chairman Mahesh Kumar and the members of the Organizing Core Committee Ravi Sabba, Sudhakar G, Rajesh Toleti and Sri Ram.
Yet for the champions in the Men’s doubles category Venkat Undavalli & Sai Kumar, Rajesh Toleti & Kesh Naidu has secured Winners award and in Mixed doubles category Padmini PodipiReddy & Prathik, Sriram & Rabbia has secured the winner award by Sri Pullela Gopichand Garu & Amir Ghaffar.
