Telugu Association of North America (TANA) Mid Atlantic team organized Food and Coat donation programs for needy people followed by a Meet & Greet with President Mohan Nannapaneni & other TANA leadership in New Jersey & Pennsylvania during the weekend of December 21st & 22nd.
On Saturday December 21st TANA Mid-Atlantic PA team served the food for 300 needy people in Heart of God Church - 201N. Hanover St, Pottstown, PA. Mr. Satish Tummala sponsored for the food donation and Mr. Ravi Potluri & Mr. Somi (Samuel Ramanjulu) coordinated the event, other community leaders attended the event are Mr. Harnath Doddapaneni, Mr. Sambaiah Kotapati, Mr. Raghu Yeddulapalli, Mr. Nagaraju Nalajula & Mr. Suresh Reddy etc.
On Sunday December 22nd 1PM TANA Mid-Atlantic NJ team donated coats to the needy people at Princeton Alliance Church - 20 Schalks Crossing Rd, Plainsboro Township, NJ. Mr. Vidyadhar Garapati sponsored the coats and also coordinated the event.
Evening of December 22nd Sunday, TANA TANA Mid-Atlantic NJ team organized Meet & Greet with President Mohan Nannapaneni & other TANA leadership at Coriander Party Hall, 128-130 Talmadge Road, Edison NJ during the weekend.
Ravi Potluri (Regional Representative – Mid Atlantic) welcomed the attendees and explained about the TANA activities happening in the Mid Atlantic area and introduced Mr. Vasudeva Reddy Chinna (TANA Foundation - Trustee) to invite and recognize the TANA Leadership team. Mr. Vasu introduced TANA Leadership team – Mr. Satish Vemana (Secretary), Mr. Naren Kodali (Chairman – Board of Directors), Mr. Jay Talluri (Foundation Chairman), Mrs. Janaki Rao, Mr. Barhamaji Valiveti (Board of Director), Mr. Harish Koya (Trustee – Foundation), Mr. Rao Yalamanchili (RR- New England) and thanked Mr. Satish Vemana for providing his support towards the TANA event in NJ and also sponsoring the meet & Greet event. The event was organized by TANA Mid Atlantic NJ team (Mr. Vasudeva Reddy Chinna, Mr. Ravi Potluri, Mr. NRC Naidu, Mr. Raghu Yeddulapalli, Mr. Srinivas Oruganti & Mr. Nagaraju Nalajula).
TANA President – Mr. Mohan Nannapaneni addressed the audience and mentioned that TANA is serving the North American community since last 37 years with the support of dedicated volunteers and donors who always come forward to support TANA activities. He thanked all the members of TANA who are working for TANA and organizing cultural and community events across USA and back in India and also thanked each and every one for their commitment and dedication.
Mr. Mohan Nannapaneni announced, TANA is organizing International women’s & youth conference on Saturday March 8th in Royal Albert Hall, Edison, New Jersey. It will be a one day conference to celebrate the achievements of Telugu women & youth in North America. Miss America Nina Davuluri will be attending as chief guest. Aruna Katragadda Miller (Member of Maryland House of Delegates) Subha Vedula (Semifinalist of American Idol 2013) and many other Telugu women and youth who excelled in various fields will be participating in the conference and their achievements will also be celebrated.
TANA Foundation Chair Mr. Jay Talluri & TANA Board of Trustees chair Dr. Naren Kodali & TANA Secretary Mr. Satish Vemana and senior TANA leader Mrs. Janaki Rao garu also spoke on this occasion.
TANA President Mr. Mohan Nannapaneni recognized all the volunteers and sponsors who rendered their services to the events.
All five (5) local Telugu association presidents in the North East Area (TFAS, NJ President Mrs. Manju Bhargava & TLCA, NY President Mrs. Krishnasri Gandham & GWTCS, D.C. President Mr. Ravi Gourineni & TAGDV, PA President Mr.Ravi Potluri and Connecticut Telugu Association President Mr. Sreekanth Nelakudity) and their Executive committees attended this event and extended their support for the TANA activities in the North East area. Mr. Damu Gedala and other leaders from North East area richly felicitated TANA President Mr. Mohan Nannapaneni for his outstanding services towards the community. Singer Prudhvi Chandra entertained the crowd with his songs.
TANA committee chairs Mr. Satish Tummala, Mr. Bobby Yerra, Mrs. Sirisha Tunuguntla, Mr. Narendra Pamulapati etc attended the event and helped in making the event successful. TFAS Executive Committee members - Srini Gandi - Secretary, Suresh Makam - Treasurer & Mrs. Bindu Madiraju & Mr. Sudhaker Uppala and Mrs. Kanaka Tatikolla attended and supported the event. Other prominent Telugu Community people attended the event are Mrs. Swathi Gundapuneedi (Siddhendra Kuchipudi Art Academy), Ramana Mannam, Ravi Mandalapu, Ujwal Kasthala, Radhakrishna Nallamala, CVM, Koti etc.
