Kudos to Nritya Madhavi School of dance on the successful finale to Kuchipudi Suma Maala -5, an Odyssey of Cultural entanglement, extravaganza and artistic pursuit. Every year, it marks the annual day of the school, but this year has a co-memorable significance to it.

Nritya Madhavi School of Dance, supported by National Organizations such as NATS(North America Telugu Society) and Local Organizations like TFAS(Telugu Fine Arts Society), Help Foundation and We care charity, has dedicated this year’s Kuchipudi Suma Maala to the Hudhud relief fundraiser for rebuilding the City of Visakhapatnam. This beautiful city, as we all know, has been hit with a major catastrophe, the devastating Hudhud that has caused a huge loss to the city and nation, both financially and emotionally.

High Quality Organics (HQO), a Reno-based multi-national Corporation, that supplies Organic ingredients to retail chains in the USA, has partnered with Nritya Madhavi, as a grand sponsor to the event.

CEO and Managing director of the Nritya Madhavi School, Mr. Venu Yeluri spoke about the value of giving to the community, and he stressed on how the Nritya Madhavi group is dedicated to inculcating such good values in young minds.

Nritya Madhavi’s artistic director and founder, Guru. Smt. Divya Yeluri has once again hosted a “Kuchipudi Dance Extravaganza”. Over 100 students from Nritya Madhavi, learning and practicing the Divine art form of Kuchipudi, performed 17 Kuchipudi dance items, creating a magical journey into the mythological stories, uplifting the Indian Classical arts and culture.

Young children performed to good selections of Annamacharya Keertanas like “Parama Purushudu, Indariki Abhayammu and Vedukondama and these renditions were depicted aptly with ease. There were traditional Kuchipudi Bhagavata items like Ramayana Sabdam and Indira Mandira Bhakta Tarangam. Also, Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam’s everlasting choreographies like Brahmanjali, Jathiswaram, Hindolam Thillana, Rukmini Pravesa Daruvu, Vedelera Vayyarulu, Sivashtakam, Natesa Koutvam, Bala Murali’s Vinayaka Koutvam were performed with depth and intricacy. Then there were a few items that truly brought out the genius in Guru. Smt. Divya Yeluri’s choreographies like Behag Thillana, Nava Durga and Pralaya Payodhijale. The highlight of the program was the Rukmini Pravesam by Aasha Yeluri from the dance drama ‘Kalyana Rukmini’. Aasha personified the character of Rukmini with her delicate movements and grace. Special mention needs to be made of items “Nava Durga and Pralaya Payodhijale”. The choreography was exquisite and touched many hearts and the dancers in these items were very involved and performed from their hearts. The items Vedelera Vayyarulu, Behag thillana, Hindolam Thillana and Sivashtakam were received extremely well by the audience and the dancers in these items were absolutely flawless.

Public Utility Commissioner Sri. Upendra Chivukula, Mr. Murali Medicherla representing NATS, Mrs. Padma Boligala Raju representing HQO, Mr.Sankar Rao Polepalli representing Help Foundation, Mr.Raghu Sankaramanchi representing Sai Datta Peetham, NJ, Mr.Srini Gandi representing TFAS, NJ were some of the guests invited and they spoke about the noble cause behind the event and extended their complete support to Nritya Madhavi.

Nritya Madhavi School awarded BharataNatyam Artist Smt. Akhilandeshwari Vasudeva Murthy” with the Nritya Keerthi title, and recognized the Krishna Vrundavan temple trustees with “Nritya Kala Poshaka” title. All sponsors, donors and supporters (Mr & Mrs. Dayanidhi, Mr. and Mrs. Shenoy, Mr. and Mrs. Chillara, Mr. Balaji chintamani, Mrs. Parijatha Boga, Mrs. Surekha Battula, Mr. Duddagi, Mrs. Aparna Singeetham and the like…) were recognized by Nritya Madhavi executives.

Nritya Madhavi volunteers Mr.Vadan Kopalle and Mrs. Sailaja Kopalle prepared a beautiful presentation on the city of Vizag, and other Volunteers like Mrs. Saroja Ponnam, Mr.Madhav Kodati, Mr. and Mrs. Konala, Mrs. Shirisha Pogaku, Mrs. Gayatri Mahidhara, Mrs.Roja Venkat, Mrs. Padmaja Putta and many others came together and made it a true celebration to provide their support for a good cause.

On the whole, Kuchipudi Suma Maala-5 was a grand celebration of Kuchipudi dance with a noble cause of giving attached to the event. 100 percent of the funds collected on this occasion will be donated towards rebuilding Vizag.

న్యూజెర్సీలో నృత్య మాధవి స్కూల్ కూచిపూడి సుమమాల
విశాఖ పునర్ నిర్మాణం కోసం నృత్య ప్రదర్శన

విశాఖ పునర్ నిర్మాణంలో నేను సైత మంటూ న్యూజెర్సీ నృత్య మాధవి స్కూల్ ఆఫ్ డ్యాన్స్ ముందుకొచ్చింది. తాను ప్రతియేటా వార్షికోత్సవం సందర్భంగా నిర్వహించే కూచిపూడి సుమమాల కార్యక్రమాన్ని ఈ సారి విశాఖ తుఫానుల బాధితులకు అంకితం చేసింది. దీని ద్వారా వచ్చిన ప్రతి డాలర్ ను విశాఖ పునర్ నిర్మాణానికి విరాళంగా ఇస్తున్నట్టు ప్రకటించింది. న్యూజెర్సీలో కూచిపూడి సుమమాల 5 పేరుతో జరిగిన నృత్య ప్రదర్శనకు చక్కటి స్పందన లభించింది.

ఎక్కడో పుట్టి..ఎక్కడో పెరిగి మనం ఇక్కడికి వచ్చాం.. ఏ దేశమేగినా ఎందుకాలిడినా పొగడరా నీ తల్లి భూమి భారతిని అంటూ మనం ఎప్పూడు ఆ తల్లి భారతికి హారతి పడుతూనే ఉన్నాం. జన్మభూమి రుణం కొంత తీర్చుకునే అవకాశం వచ్చిన ప్రతిసారి మనం ముందుంటూనే ఉన్నాం. తెలుగువారు ఎక్కడున్నా ఆదుకునేందుకు మేం సిద్ధమని ముందుకు నడిపించే నాట్స్ బోర్డ్ ఆఫ్ డైరక్టర్ డాక్టర్ మధు కొర్రపాటి.. ఈ కార్యక్రమం గురించి విన్న వెంటనే నాట్స్ పూర్తి మద్దతు ఇస్తుందని ప్రకటించారు. అలానే న్యూజెర్సీ నాట్స్ విభాగం పూర్తి సహయ సహకారాలు అందించేలా దిశా నిర్థేశం చేశారు. ఈ క్రమంలోనే ఉత్తర అమెరికా తెలుగు సంఘం నాట్స్ నలుగురినీ కలుపుకుపోతూ... సేవాపథంలో నేనుసైత మంటూ ఎప్పుడూ తెలుగువారి మేలుకోసం ముందుకు అడుగులు వేస్తూనే ఉంది.

కళ అనేది మనిషిని కదిలిస్తుంది. మనిషిలో చైతన్యం తెస్తుంది. మనందరిని ఆహ్లదపరుస్తుంది. ఆనందపరుస్తుంది. కానీ అదే కళ ఆపదలో ఉన్నవారిని ఆదుకుంటుంది. వారికి అండగా నిలబడుతుంది.. బాధితులకు మేమున్నామనే భరోసా ఇస్తుంది..ఇవి కేవలం మాటలు కాదు చేతలని మనకు ఇప్పుడు మన నృత్య మాధవి స్కూల్ ఆఫ్ డ్యాన్స్ చేపట్టిన ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని చూస్తేనే అర్థమవుతుంది.

సొంతలాభం కొంత మానుకుని పరుల కోసం పాటు పడవోయ్ అన్నారు గురజాడ.. అదే అడుగుజాడలో నృత్య మాధవి స్కూల్ ఆఫ్ డ్యాన్స్ అడుగులు వేస్తోంది . విశాఖ గీతం యూనివర్సీటీలో చదువుకున్న దివ్య ఏలూరి ఆ విశాఖ విషాద గీతం ఏంటో తన బంధువుల ద్వారా, స్నేహితుల ద్వారా తెలుసుకున్నారు. ప్రత్యక్షంగా టీవీల్లో చూశారు. అప్పుడే నిర్ణయించుకున్నారు, జన్మ భూమి కి ఈ విపత్ సమయంలో ఏదో ఒకటి చెయాలని.

ఉత్తర అమెరికా తెలుగు సంఘం నాట్స్ తో పాటు, తెలుగు ఫైన్ ఆర్ట్స్ సోసైటీ, టీ.ఎఫ్.ఎ.ఎస్, హెల్ప్ ఫౌండేషన్, వుయ్ కేర్ ఛారిటీ వంటి సంస్థలు ఈ చక్కటి కార్యక్రమానికి తమ పూర్తి మద్దతు అందించాయి.

కళ మనిషిని కదిలించడమే కాదు.. అది ఆపదలో ఉన్నవారిని ఆదుకునేందుకు కూడా తోడ్పడుతుందని నృత్య మాధవి స్కూల్ మేనేజింగ్ డైరెక్టర్ వేణు ఏలూరి ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో తెలిపారు. ఈ సమాజం నాకు ఏమీ ఇచ్చింది అని కాకుండా ఈ సమాజానికి నేనేం చేయగలను అనేదే ముఖ్యమని వేణు ఏలూరి అన్నారు. ఇక నృత్య మాధవి స్కూల్ ఆఫ్ డ్యాన్స్, డైరక్టర్ దివ్య ఏలూరి శిక్షణలో నృత్య పాఠాలు నేర్చుకున్న విద్యార్ధినీ విద్యార్దులు కన్నుల పండువగా కూచిపూడి నృత్య మహోత్సవాన్ని నిర్వహించారు. భారతీయ సంస్కృతి, సంప్రదాయాలు ప్రతిబింబిస్తూ... 17 రకాల కూచిపూడి నృత్య రీతులను ఈ వేదికపై ప్రదర్శించారు.

పరమ పురుషుడు, ఇందరికి అభయమ్ము, వేడుకొందామా వంటి అన్నమాచార్య కీర్తనలకు చక్కటి నృత్యాన్ని జోడించి చిన్నారులు ఇచ్చిన ప్రదర్శనలు ఎంతో ఆకట్టుకున్నాయి. ఇందిరా మందిరా భక్త .. తరంగం, రామయణ శబ్దం, బ్రహ్మాంజలి, జతిశ్వరం, హిందోళం ధిల్లనా, రుక్మిణి ప్రవేశ దరువు, వెడలెర వయ్యారులు, శివాష్టకం, నటేష కౌత్వం, బాలమురళీ కృత వినాయక కౌత్వం ఇలాంటి ఎన్నో నృత్యాలను దివ్య ఏలూరి శిష్యగణం చక్కగా ప్రదర్శించింది. బేహాగ్ దిల్లనా, నవదుర్గ, ప్రళయ పయోధిజలే .. ఎమ్.ఎస్. సుబ్బులక్ష్మి గానం చేసిన జయదేవ దశావతార అష్టపది వంటి వాటికి సభికుల నుంచి చప్పట్లతో విశేష స్పందన లభించింది. ముఖ్యంగా ఆశా ఏలూరి చేసిన కల్యాణ రుక్మిణి నృత్య రూపకం ఈ కార్యక్రమానికే ప్రత్యేక ఆకర్షణగా నిలిచింది.

న్యూజెర్సీ ప్రజా సౌకర్యాల కమిషనర్ శ్రీ ఉపేంద్ర చివుకుల, నాట్స్ మీడియా కో ఆర్డినేటర్ మురళీకృష్ణ మేడిచెర్ల, హెచ్.క్యూ.ఓ (హై క్వాలిటీ ఆర్గానిక్స్). ప్రతినిధి పద్మ రాజు బొల్లిగల, హెల్ఫ్ పౌండేషన్ ప్రతినిధి పోలేపల్లి శంకర్ రావు , శ్రీ సాయి దత్త పీఠం నుంచి రఘు శర్మ శంకరమంచి, తెలుగు కళా సమితి ప్రెసిడెంట్ శ్రీని గండి తో పాటు పలువురు న్యూజెర్సీ ప్రముఖులు ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి విచ్చేసి తమ మద్దతు ప్రకటించారు.

ప్రముఖ భరతనాట్య కారిణి అఖిలాండేశ్వరీ వాసుదేవ మూర్తి ని నృత్యకీర్తి అనే బిరుదుతో సత్కరించింది. అలానే శ్రీ కృష్ణ బృందావన టెంపుల్ ట్రస్టీ లకు నృత్యపోషక బిరుదును ప్రదానం చేసింది. శ్రీయుతులు దయానిధి, షినాయ్, శ్రీని శారద చిల్లర, , బాలజీ చింతామణి, పారిజాత బోగ, సురేఖ బత్తుల, దుడ్డగి, అపర్ణ సింగీతం ఇలా ఎందరో దాతలు, స్పానర్లు ఈ కార్యక్రమ విజయవంతానికి తమ వంతు సహకారం అందించారు. నృత్య మాధవి వాలంటీర్లు, వదన్ కొపల్లె, శైలజ కొపల్లెలు వైజాగ్ హుడ్ హుడ్ విపత్తు పై ప్రజంటేషన్ చేశారు. సరోజ పొన్నం, మాధవ్ కోదాటి, శేఖర్ కొనల, శిరిష పొగాకు, గాయత్రీ మహిధర, రోజ వెంకట్, పద్మజ పుట్టా ఇలా ఎందరో ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి తమవంతు తోడ్పాటును అందించారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో వచ్చిన నిధులన్నీ నృత్య మాధవి స్కూలు విశాఖ పునర్ నిర్మాణానికి ఇస్తున్నట్టు సభాముఖంగా ప్రకటించింది.
