Open Letter to MAHESH BABU from Soma Sekhar Kancherla

Born on August 9th (Same DOB) just like you and being an ardent fan of Daring, Dashing and Dynamic hero Natsekhara Superstar Krishna, I couldn't wait to see you as a hero on the silver screen of Tollywood.

I am also a distant relative of you and only want to mention this here to get your attention to at least read my thoughts.

I have seen all of your movies so far except Bobby (I will be seeing it as soon as it is released in USA).

I used to admire you as a Jr. Superstar but after seeing your heart touching performance in Murari, ease in Dancing, cute smile and excellent acting abilities I have become a hard-core fan of yours.

I have no complains about your abilities or performance but could not resist myself in commenting your choice on movies.

You should take more care in the screenplay and should be able to advice your producers/directors to re-shoot some scenes if they do not seem right during the preview show. I know this is hard and many people do not agree that a hero should be involved in these aspects of the movie. But, there are some producers who have sold their movie for profits before completion of a movie and hence they do not want to spend more money cutting down their profits. Coming from a family that has a great experience in movie industry, you should involve in every aspect of a movie if you feel that something is not up to the standards and you can make it better to keep up your stardom and image.

After hearing all the bad review about the graphics and picturization of songs in the first half of Bobby, I wonder why did you not stick to your previous statement of not using any graphics work in your movies.

Graphics can be asset to a film only when they come out right and graphics can spoil the whole picture if the quality is not good. Films Jeans and Vamsi are probably good examples here.

I only watch your movies to see U. So, I have no complains about a movie being good or bad. But, in order to be able to survive in this industry you need to be able to deliver some superhits. These hits will make good technicians to come to you to produce some more excellent results.

The scene I liked so far from you is the one from Vamsi where you were trying to have a conversation with Namrata in the train.

I actually like the way you think and try to present something different to the audience. I too think like that may be because I was born on the same day as you were. I am not sure if this is a characteristic of the zodiac sign LEO. However, I have learnt that very few people try something different and majority of the people do not want any major change. I am saying these words because I heard that Bobby climax is very different from the normal trend. You tend to come out with something different right from the beginning of your career like acting as a father to 10 year old, acting opposite to heroines who look older than you, come out with a old cowboy story. For example, very few people try combing their hair differently everyday; very few people try different routes to their work place or school from their house; This is like, asking rice eating people to have a sandwich.

Nagarjuna gave several flops after Shiva before he delivered a hit movie.

Hrithik did not give any hit after his debut Kaho na Pyar hai.

So, do not get disappointed about the criticism. Learn from their mistakes and prove that you are ONE of the BEST.

So far all the movies you have acted ran average just because of you not because of the story (Murari is an exception, it has both). We need more than Murari.

I wish you all the best in your future selections.

Sincerely yours

Soma Sekhar Kancherla
