Double platinum disc function of Dil Raju’s latest blockbuster Kotha Bangaru Lokam was held at Durgam Cheru amphitheater on the night of 24 October. VV Vinayak and Sanam Naga Ashok Kumar were invited as guests to this function.
Speaking on the occasion VV Vinayak said, “This is like my home banner. It is very easy to deliver hit when you stick to a commercial formula. But Dil Raju makes big hits out of small story ideas. It needs guts to make a film like KBL. Srikanth Addala worked as an apprentice for my Tagore film. He penned four lines for my birthday and it amazed me. I told Chota K Naidu that Srikanth is very talented. I am very happy for Srikanth for the success of KBL.”
Chota K Naidu remembered his association with Srikanth and wished him a great future ahead.
Prints increased to 100 – Dil Raju
Dil Raju said, “I learnt about story, screenplay and narration of the film from VV Vinayak when he worked for Dil. I loved the story of KBL a lot. I would have got disappointed terribly if this film flopped because I loved this script so much. We released the film with 35 prints ad the prints number reached 100 after two weeks. We feel very happy if parents and kids could identity with the characters of KBL.”
Director Srikanth Addala said that he would continue making films like KBL in the future.
Micky J Meyer attributed the success of music to his team.
