Bala Krishna’s latest film in the direction of YVS Chowdary was launched at a public function amidst fans at Cyber Gardens, Madhapur on the evening of 21 December 2007. Dasari and K Raghavendra Rao attended this function as chief guests.

Dasari launched the audiocassette and sold it to Rajamouli. K Raghavendra Rao launched the audio CD and sold it to Nandamuri Rama Krishna.

The lion will roar on 11 January - Rajamouli
Rajamouli said, “We have seen many hits recently. But we did not have a hit that shook the boxoffice. That is because the lion (Bala Krishna) is sleeping. It’s going to wake up on 11 January. I would like to stand in between fans and watch this function. I would be watching Okka Magadu along with the fans on 11 January."

I named Bala Krishna as Yuva Ratna - Dasari
Dasari said, “NTR is an actor whom all of us are proud of. He brought international recognition to Telugu people with his movies and politics. He became chief minister in just 9 months after starting the political outfit. Bala Krishna came from that vamsam. I was the one who named Bala Krishna as ‘Yuva Ratna’. Films like Samara Simha Reddy and Narasimha Naidu proved his stamina at box office. His Okka Magadu will also show its stamina at box office. YVS Chowdary is a passionate devotee of NTR. YVS is going to give a definite hit with this film. Bala Krishna has powerful dialogues in this film."

R Narayana Murthy said, “Fans are expecting Bala Krishna to join active politics. But I feel that Bala Krishna should enact some of the greatest characters donned by his father NTR before entering politics.”

Only Bala Krishna could do Okka Magadu - YVS Chowdary
YVS Chowdary said, “I did three films on my banner so far. I express my thanks to NTR in the beginning and ending of my films. I always used to feel sad that I could not direct legendry NTR. But working with Bala Krishna made me forget that feeling. If NTR is Viswa Vikhyata Nata Sarvabhouma, Bala Krishna is Viswa Vikhyata Nata Tejoroopam. He had several shades to his character in Okka Magadu. Only Bala Krishna can do that Okka Magadu role. I am confident that Okka Magadu will be a huge success."

Bala Krishna said, “The fans in this function remind me of my fathers dialogues in Vijayawada sabha - Nela eeninda, aakasam chillu padindaa. Mani Sharma gave good music. The music is better than what I expected. Chandrabose penned all the lyrics in this film. All songs come as per the demand of the situation. We went to many holy places in Rayalaseema for a song’s picturization. I would like thank all the people who cooperated with us for that song. A few of the dialogues in this film suit my real personality. I did two different get-ups in this film. You have seen one get-up. The second get-up has to be seen on big screen only. And many films in which my get-up did not come out in publicity before release of the film went on to become blockbusters. The title of the film is also very powerful. It is an apt title for the story. I am sure about the success of the film.”
