Sobha Rani – producer of Surya s/o Krishnan – arranged a success meet for the press at Film Nagar Cultural Club on 16 November. Here are the excepts –

Everybody helped us for a smooth release
Sobha Rani said, “I would like to thank producer Oscar Ravi Chandran for giving us this film to do in Telugu. This film started with a budget of 8 crores and it went onto become 30 crores as Ravi Chandran is a kind of producer who never compromises. The war scene is shot using five helicopters. We had struggled during the release time. Lots of people helped us financially and morally in the last minute. We had a problem of non-sync with reel number 6 a day before the release. The director personally came and sorted it out. I would like to thank Gemini Labs who helped us printing in the last minute as our earlier printer ‘ad labs’ was busy with Tamil version.”

Lot of depth in direction
“I am getting positive feedback about the film. Everybody likes something in the film. It touches everybody’s heart. It is a peculiar soft film. When we titled it as ‘Surya s/o Krishnan’ lots of people opined that it is a soft title. But after the release, everybody is saying that it’s an apt title. The film deals with the tender relationship between the father and the son. There is lot of depth in the direction of Gowtam Menon. Surya came up with wonderful performance. This film should be watched and savored by everybody”, she added.
