Dilsukhnagar Arena - India’s largest and best Digital Media Academy and Creative Multimedia College of Fine Arts (CMCFA) celebrate International Animation Day (IAD) with great fanfare

Sri Kadiyam Srihari garu - Deputy Chief Minister, Govt. of Telangana graced The International Animation Day (IAD) celebrations conducted by Dilsukhnagar Arena and CMCFA as Chief Guest on Friday, the 27th of October 2017 at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad.

Each year, Dilsukhnagar Arena and CMCFA celebrate IAD with enlightening knowledge-sharing sessions on seminal Digital Media topics by industry luminaries followed by cultural festivities which culminate in the much awaited Pixellence Awards conferred upon outstanding students of Digital Media Education.

Chief Guest Sri Kadiyam Srihari garu said that the proposed “IMAGE TOWERS” and the new initiatives of the Telangana Government are expected to drive digital media industry growth in the state and boost job opportunities for students of Animation, VFX, Web and Graphic Design.

Guest of Honour Sri Jayesh Ranjan garu - IT Secretary, Govt. of Telangana addressed the students and said that after Charminar and Cyber Towers, Hyderabad will now be defined by IMAGE TOWERS: a full-fledged 6,00,000 sft facility dedicated to promoting the Digital Media and Entertainment industry in the state which is attracting the likes of James Cameron and other marquee names in the global entertainment business. Riding on the huge success of Bahubali, and with the ground breaking ceremony of IMAGE TOWERS in Hyderabad set to take place on November 05, 2017, Sri Jayesh Ranjan expressed confidence that many more big names in entertainment are expected to come to establish their presence in Hyderabad in the days to come: all with the assurance that trained manpower will be available. This is a great opportunity for digital media career aspirants.

Pete Draper - Division Head and Chief Technical Director of Makuta VFX delivered an insightful and engaging presentation on the behind-the-scenes VFX artistry that went into the creation of the trendsetting blockbuster ‘Bahubali 2-The Conclusion’. It turned out to be an immensely educative experience for VFX students dreaming of a successful career in the entertainment industry.

Sanjeev Nair - TASK, Rajiv Chilaka - CEO, Green Gold Animation, Praveen Kilaru - Digital Domain India, Papireddy garu - TSCHE, Kavitha Daryani Rao garu, VC - JNAFAU, Phanisri garu - Registrar, JNAFAU, Pradeep garu - Dept. Of Planning, Vikas garu - Principal, College of Fine Arts and Sailesh Reddy garu - CEO, Softnet were the other Guests of Honour.

They shared their industry experiences for the benefit of students and collectively commended Dilsukhanagar Arena CEO - Rajasekhar Buggaveeti on the benchmark digital media training and excellent placement opportunities that India’s Largest Digital Media Academy was facilitating for students of Animation, VFX, Web and Graphic Design.

Mr. Raja Sekhar thanked The Chief Guest Sri Kadiyam Srihari Garu for his Government’s initiative in promoting the Digital Media and Entertainment Industry. He also thanked all the Guests of Honour for sparing their valuable time to grace the celebrations and encourage the students. He reiterated his academy’s commitment to superlative Digital Media education and said that Dilsukhnagar Arena and CMCFA continue to maintain their industry leadership with highest job placements.

The celebrations were punctuated by a medley of enthralling cultural programs by students.

The coveted Pixellence awards aimed at honouring excellence in Digital Media education were presented to students in the presence of the Chief Guest Sri Kadiyam Srihari Garu.
