Open letter to Telugu Film Industry

The brutal murder of Sri Lakshmi.

I feel very sad and devastated, like many other readers, reading "Girl killed in class room" are movies an inspiration for such acts?

Movies are a major source of entertainment for college kids. They provide a lots of fun and excitement...But there are times when students are so engrossed that they may actually start thinking like those heroes or heroines. They may even imitate their favorite heroes.

Secondly, the so called love + action mix movies that most people like to watch, can create a lasting impression on a viewers mind, and make us say "Nuvee Kavali".. people watch such movies and try to enact it in real life, thus causing much distress to themselves and their parents.

I had once heard of a fellow engineering student who had jumped from the top floor of our college, thinking he is an Aadi!!. Poor guy, he had to be treated for multiple injuries to the body and the brain. He was trying to imitate one of the heroes from the movies who had done a similar stunt and landed safely on the ground.

I bet, Monohar's in his mind might be thinking he is cool as "Seshu"?? or might be singing .."Gemini Gemini"??. Weather you want to say "Manasante nuvve"..or "Premichukundam ra.." the movies are providing a means of entertainment, But if they are not perceived rightly then the consequences can be gruesome..

To conclude, I wish Government put more taxes on the films that have college love / violence, and doing this way, I guess will reduce such movies.. and wish the senior actors take a little more precautions before making love and college backdrop movies.
