| StoryRajendra Dubey (Vinay Pathak) works in an investment company. His real passion lies in selling a multi-marketing network to others. He idolizes Dhirubhai Ambani and wants to make money in a legal way. He doesn’t fall for free/easy money. God (Saurabh Shukla) wants to help him, but Dubey rejects it by thinking it is easy money. The rest of the story is all about the tussle between helping God and rejecting Dubey.
Actors: Vinay Pathak is very good in the role of a man with ethics dreaming big. Saurabh Shukla is hilarious in various get-ups as God who desperately tries to convince Dubey to accept money. Divya Dutta is lovable in the role of an understanding and cooperating wife.
Technical departments: Story - screenplay - direction: The premise of storyline is good. But the execution of the film is bad. The script of the film is half-baked. Even in films involving God needs some make-belief factor. The God who grants Dubey Rs 10 crore has to steal the same amount from a bank, which is near Dubey's work place and it instills fear in Dubey. The second half of the film is complete let down as the director seem to have been in two minds whether to make this film a comedy or an art film. Narration of the film is slow. Other technical departments: Cinematography is alright. However, the uniform DI (color grading) makes this film appear smooth. Music of the film is mediocre. This film is made on a shoe-string budget. Analysis: First half of the film is alright though it's boring at times. But the second half of the film is bad. The only enjoyable scenes in the film are the ones in the combination of Dubey and God. The script of the film is half-baked. The film lacks a tone and as director does not seem to be sure of to make this film either a comedy or an art film. Vinay Pathank who did two good films like Bheja Fry and Dasvidaniya disappoints us a big time with 'Oh, My God!'. Jeevi
