Birthday function of Mohan Babu was celebrated along with the anniversary day function of Sree Vidya Niketan on 19th March near Tirupati. This function was attended by Finance Minister K Rosaiah, MD of Santa Biotech Dr. Vara Prasad Reddy, Higher Education Committee’s Chairman KC Reddy, Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad and Tirupati MLA Venkata Ramana. The celebrities who came to this function include Tarun, Vishnu, Manoj, Rahul Dev, Raghu and Rajesh.
Finance minister K Rosaiah said, “Sri Vidya Niketam reminds me of Santhi Niketan. Mohan Babu should be appreciated for establishing educational interest through he is in glamour field of films.”
KC Reddy said that donation of education (Vidyadanam) is greater than all types of donations. He wished that Sri Vidya Niketan would become a model school for the rest of the schools to follow.
Dr. Vara Prasad Reddy said that it saddens him to see people ignoring science and mathematics for the sake of IT (Information Technology). He predicted that this kind of approach will damage our country’s prospects in the long term.
On this eve Gold Medals installed on the names of D Rama Naidu, Rajnikant, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, T Subbirami Reddy, Tatineni Rama Rao, Chalasani Ramesh, Rajagopal Naidu, Srikant, MAA TV Murali Krishnam Raju, Hemalaya Kumari (daughter of Dasari), B Gopal and Polavarapu Gani were awarded to the merit students in Sri Vidya Niketan.
