Ravi Babu who made a mark with films with wide range of stories like Allari, Anasuya and Nachavule has directed a love story titled Manasara. This movie is launching Vikram and Sri Divya as in leads. Prakash Babu - an industrialist is producing this movie. Here is the chitchat with Prakash Babu -

Background:
I am an industrialist and have worked as an architect and a town planner. I am primarily into seeds industry and construction activity now. We have started ‘Moving Images’ banner and ventured into film production.

Manasara film:
I wanted to launched my son Vikram as hero. Vikram is a graduate of IIPM. I am an avid moviegoer. He has taken training from Vizag Satyanand who trained many successful actors like Pawan Kalyan and Prabhas. I have decided to launch Vikram in Ravi Babu's direction because of Ravi Babu’s history of successfully launching new actors with strong characterizations and sensible story lines. We roped in a pure Telugu girl Sr Divya as female lead.

Manasara is a youthful love story set in the backdrop of Kerala. This film also focusses on a century-old Kerala martial art called Kalari. Kalari fight is famous all over the world. Sri Divya plays the role of an authentic Kerala girl. Vikram plays a middle-class student from urban area who goes to Kerala on certain work.

How different is film business compared to seeds and construction?
Seeds business is little similar to that of film business. Seeds too have patents like films have IPR (Intellectual property rights). The risk in seeds business is also high like in film business. Anybody who is entering into film production should be prepared to be at either ends after the film release. Film industry is the only business where people are judges.

What is your involvement in creative aspects of the film?
My creativity ends at selecting the right director. I did a good job at selecting Ravi Babu for the project and I am happy with the product he delivered.

Tell us about music?
Sekhar Chandra who gave delightful melodious music for Nachavule scored music for Manasara. The music has met with very good response. You can understand lyrics well and music is soothing. I am also promoting it very aggressively by getting DVD cover designed for CDs.

Are you satisfied with Vikram’s work in this movie?
I am completely satisfied with Vikram’s performance. His voice and diction are very good. He dubbed his voice. He is 5’ 11” and has good physique. I think this is the highest budgeted hero launch if you exclude heroes from film background. I am giving him very good launch and he will be on his own after this movie.

Tell us about the movie release?
Manasara film is releasing in India and USA simultaneously on 10 December.
