A grand premiere was held for Godavari film at IMAX screen of Prasads Multiplex at 9 am on the morning of 19th May. This premiere was attended by the media, celebrities, unit members and common public (who bought donor passes by paying Rs. 300/- each). The unit arranged a small get together after screening.

Speaking on the occasion producer GVG Raju said, “Sekhar Kammula has not taken remuneration for this film so far. He said that he will take it only after the film breaks even. I would like to thank Sekhar Kammula for being such a gentle director who thinks about the well-being of producer.”

Ramesh Prasad (of Prasads) said that Godavari film is made with good effort, dedication and sincerity.

Hero Sumanth said, “It is a privilege to work for a film like Godavari. It is a rare opportunity. My family members like this film a lot. And they don’t easily appreciate films.”

Director Sekhar Kammula described Godavari as a result of team work. She appeared very touched and emotional while speaking to the media.
