“Every child asks for a beautiful outing on his birthday, so I thought that instead of spending for the birthday party, I could request all parents to celebrate any one of their child’s birthday’s in the entire school life with less privileged children. “ - Akash

Akash Puri (Son of Puri Jagan) is sponsoring education for some children from his savings and wants many more children and their parents to come forward to help needy children for their schooling.

Currently Akash is acting in an international film “The Lotus pond”- "I have completed the first schedule of the film in month of May 09 and the second schedule is planned in the month of August 09. I had trekked to a height of 14000 feet and stayed in makeshift tents for more than a week during the shoot of the film. I enjoyed playing in snow and during one of the shooting days I was lucky to experience a snowfall in the month of May."

The story is about two 10 year old kids studying in a boarding school, who, out of inquisitiveness make up their mind to explore the Lotus pond located at a height of 14000 ft in the Himalayas. The whole story unfolds a positive, encouraging and a cheerful note, amidst the pristine beauty of Himachal Pradesh.
