మయసభ విజయం వెనకున్న సైన్యం, సంవత్సరాలుగా కష్టాలు, అడ్డంకులు ఎదుర్కొంటూ సినిమా తప్ప వేరే జీవితమే లేదని బతుకుతున్న అండర్‌డాగ్స్. వారి ప్రయాణానికి నివాళిగా ఈ వ్యాసాలు రాస్తున్నాను. వారిని తీర్చిదిద్దిన జీవిన పోరాటాలు, మయసభలో వారి ఎలా ఎంపిక, ఈ విజయంలో వారి పాత్ర ఈ వ్యాసాల్లో ప్రధాన అంశాలు. ప్రతి మనిషి ఒక నడిచే కథ—ఆ కథని ప్రపంచం వినడానికి, ఒకే ఒక్క అవకాశం చాలు.
Singampalli Pranav Sai Preetham, son of accomplished TV and film actor Singampalli Madhu (known for roles like Chakravakam’s James, Bhasha in Prasthanam, and the villain in Autonagar Surya), never planned on becoming an actor. A shy, arts-inclined student, he was often mocked for his lean physique. He enrolled in B.Tech to meet his parents’ expectations but soon dropped out to pursue a path aligned with his passion—joining a Bachelor's in Animation & VFX at Annapurna College of Film and Media, after overcoming initial resistance from his parents.
A smartphone gift changed everything. Through apps like Dubsmash, he began lip-syncing Mahesh Babu’s dialogues—his first exposure to acting. As his videos gained traction, YouTube channel Chaibisket noticed him and offered roles in short films. What began as casual pocket money turned into a four-year journey filled with web series and sketches.
While juggling studies and shoots, he was approached to play the lead in a feature film. Initially doubtful, he was surprised to find the offer genuine. Though his family came from cinema, they discouraged his decision due to the industry’s instability. He kept his debut under wraps until he left for the shoot.
The film, Prabhutwa Junior Kalashala, began in 2021 but was only released in 2024 after years of delay, testing his patience and belief. During this period, he stepped away from YouTube and focused on auditioning for mainstream roles—with little success.
Since Madhu is like a close friend and family to me, he introduced Preetham during a lunch visit to his home back in the Prasthanam and Autonagar Surya days. Preetham’s sharp features and lean, tall, model-like appearance made me insist that he audition for the role of Pothineni Sathish in Mayasabha. Even though his debut film as a lead was about to release, he immediately agreed to audition without second thoughts—even though the role wasn’t a lead and the content was for digital.
I was thrilled after watching his audition and told Madhu that he should start encouraging his son to pursue his passion. I told him, “The kid has it in him.” He loves cinema, he loves acting, and he’s a natural, brilliant actor.
Pranav Preetham’s memorable moments in Mayasabha:
1. Father’s death scene towards the end of Episode 3: Pranav’s crying was so genuine that it moved the other actors on set. His raw emotion pulled everyone into the mood of the scene, making the entire sequence feel spontaneous and authentic.
2. The Naxal shootout scene in Episode 4 (pre-title sequence): With innocence and ambition in his heart, the way he says “లాల్ సలాం” while disguised police stand beside him as comrades adds strong emotional grounding to the scene. His later reaction—breaking free from his brother’s grip to save their leader—delivers a powerful payoff.
From a reserved boy afraid of the stage to a lead actor in PJK and a standout character in Mayasabha, Pranav Preetham’s journey is a testament to self-discovery, resilience, and the quiet power of staying true to one’s calling.

Phanindra Devarapalli is another engineer bitten by the cinema bug. He began his film journey by assisting the accomplished writer Divakara Babu garu. With a dream of becoming a director, he joined us as an assistant director for Prasthanam. His dedication during the pre-production, shoot, and post-production phases earned him my respect and an Associate Director credit on Prasthanam. He was there 24/7—like a sleepless guard among the crew. He carried the same level of commitment as Associate Director for Autonagar Surya as well.
After Autonagar Surya, Phani continued working on multiple projects including web series and ad films. He also wrote some interesting scripts. A couple of projects he was supposed to debut as a director didn’t take off due to reasons beyond his control. But after watching a couple of his short films, I realised he’s a very sensible writer and a highly potential director. I hope he’ll realise that dream soon.
But here’s the twist—he acted in one of those short films 😊. His impeccable comic timing and the way he transformed into the character with such detail mesmerised our entire team. And that became his curse! He became another victim like Vennela Kishore—who had come to me as an assistant director with dreams of directing, but whom I had to convince to act in my projects because I was desperately looking for the right actor. I finally managed to convince Phani as well to play Appi—MSR and Shiva Reddy’s right-hand man in Mayasabha.
Phani’s memorable moments in Mayasabha:
1. The fantastic procession dance and ‘dandora’ in Episode 3:
In the scene where Appi leads a procession with the assailants, shaving their heads and parading them on donkeys in public humiliation—his graceful dance and lively mannerisms added so much character and cultural flavour.
2. The threatening phone call scene in episode 6:
The brilliantly taunting tone with which he threatens the corrupt SI to release Shiva Reddy from a fake case is another standout moment.
Phanindra’s journey is marked by persistence, intuition, and steady growth across multiple storytelling formats. My request to him is this: “while continuing to pursue your dream of becoming a director, don’t forget to give the actor in you a fair chance too.”

సింగంపల్లి ప్రణవ్ సాయి ప్రీతమ్, టీవీ మరియు సినిమా నటుడిగా మంచి గుర్తింపు పొందిన సింగంపల్లి మధు గారి కుమారుడు. అతని జీవితాన్ని మార్చింది ఓ స్మార్ట్‌ఫోన్ గిఫ్ట్. Dubsmash లాంటి యాప్స్‌ ద్వారా మహేష్ బాబు డైలాగ్స్‌ను లిప్‌సింక్ చేస్తూ వీడియోలు చేయడం మొదలుపెట్టాడు. అవి వైరల్ కావడంతో Chaibisket YouTube Channel వాళ్లు గుర్తించి, షార్ట్ ఫిలిమ్స్‌కి పిలిచారు. సరదాగా మొదలుపెట్టిన ఈ ప్రయాణం, నాలుగు సంవత్సరాల వెబ్ సిరీస్‌లు, స్కెచ్‌లతో నిండిపోయింది. స్టడీస్, షూటింగ్‌ ఇద్దటినీ బ్యాలెన్స్ చేస్తూ ఉండగానే, ఒకరోజు ఫీచర్ ఫిలింలో లీడ్ రోల్ చేయమని ఓ ఆఫర్ వచ్చింది. మొదట నమ్మలేకపోయినా, అది నిజమైన అవకాశమని అర్థమైపోయింది. ఇంట్లో అందరూ సినిమావారే అయినా, ఇండస్ట్రీలో స్టెబిలిటీ లేదని భావించి ఆ నిర్ణయాన్ని డిస్కరేజ్ చేశారు. తాను ఫస్ట్ డే ఫిలిం షూట్‌కు వెళ్లే వరకూ కూడా ఎవరికీ చెప్పలేదు.
“ప్రభుత్వ జూనియర్ కళాశాల” అనే సినిమా 2024లో రిలీజ్ అయ్యింది. ఆ సినిమా రిలీజ్ కి ముందు mainstream roles కోసం ఎన్నో ఆడిషన్స్‌ ట్రై చేశాడు—ఫలితాలు తక్కువే. మధు నాకు క్లోజ్ ఫ్రెండ్. ప్రస్థానం, ఆటోనగర్ సూర్య రోజుల్లో ఆయన ఇంటికి లంచ్ కూడా వెళ్లే వాడ్ని. ప్రీతం సినిమా రిలీజ్ కి ముందు మధు ప్రణవ్‌ని పరిచయం చేశాడు. sharp features, lean-tall మోడల్ లుక్ లో ఉన్న ప్రీతం ని చూసి చూసి, మయసభలో లో పోతినేని సతీష్ పాత్రకి ఆడిషన్ చెయ్యమని చెప్పాను.
అతని డెబ్యూ ఫిలిం రిలీజ్‌కి సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నా కూడా, ఈ మాత్రం వెనకాడకుండా లీడ్ రోల్ కాకపోయినా, థియేటర్ ప్రాజెక్ట్ కాకపోయినా పరవాలేదని ఆడిషన్ చేసి తనలో ఉన్న యాక్టర్ ని ప్రూవ్ చేసుకున్నాడు. అతని ఆడిషన్ చూసిన తర్వాత, మధు తో దయచేసి “మీ వాడ్ని ఆపొద్దు, ఎంకరేజ్ చెయ్యండి” అని చెప్పాను. సినిమాని ప్రేమించే అభిమానం, నటన పట్ల నిస్సహాయమైన ప్రేమ—ఆత్మలోంచి వచ్చే సహజ నటన, ప్రీతం మీద నా అభిప్రాయం.
మయసభలో ప్రణవ్ ప్రీతమ్ గుర్తుండిపోయే క్షణాలు:
1. ఎపిసోడ్ 3 చివరలో తండ్రి మరణం సీన్: “యాక్షన్” చెప్పగానే తండ్రి శవం ముందు ప్రీతం ఏడవం మొదలు పెట్టినప్పుడు, మిగతా ఆర్టిస్టులందర్నీ తనతో పాటు ఆ ఎమోషన్‌లోకి లాక్కుపోయాడు. ఆ raw emotion తో ఆ సీన్ అంతా spontaneous & authentic గా మారిపోయింది.
2. ఎపిసోడ్ 4 ప్రీ టైటిల్ నక్సల్ ఎన్‌కౌంటర్: కామ్రేడ్స్ వేషంలో వచ్చిన పోలీస్ లతో తాను “లాల్ సలాం” చెప్పేటప్పుడు తన కళ్లలో కనిపించే అమాయకత్వం, ఆశ… చూసినప్పుడల్లా నాకు goosebumps వస్తాయి. ఆ తరువాత తన అన్న చేతుల నుంచి తప్పించుకొని లీడర్‌ను కాపాడటానికి పరుగెత్తే సీన్ — ఆ మూమెంట్ వల్ల వచ్చిన emotional payoff.
స్టేజ్‌కి భయపడే ఓ ఇన్రోవర్ట్ → ఈ రోజు తన సొంత ప్రయత్నంతో లీడ్ రోల్ లో సంపాదించిన నటుడు → మయసభలో ఒక గుర్తింపు పొందిన పాత్ర చేసిన నటుడు. ప్రణవ్ ప్రీతమ్ ప్రయాణం: ఆత్మపరిశీలన, ఆశ, ఓర్పు తో నిండిన ప్రయాణం.
ప్రణవ్ ప్రీతమ్‌కి ఇంకా ఎన్నో గొప్ప పాత్రలు రావాలని, ఆ సహజమైన spontaneous యాక్టింగ్‌ను unleash చేసే చక్కటి అవకాశాలు కలగాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాం.

ఫణీంద్ర దేవరపల్లి కూడా సినిమాకి ఆకర్షితుడైన ఇంజినీర్. అతని సినిమా ప్రయాణం ప్రఖ్యాత రచయిత దివాకర బాబు గారుకి అసిస్టెంట్‌గా మొదలైంది. దర్శకుడిగా మారాలనే కలతో, అతను మా టీమ్‌కి ప్రస్థానం సినిమా సమయంలో అసిస్టెంట్ డైరెక్టర్గా జాయిన్ అయ్యాడు. షూటింగ్‌కు ముందు, షూట్ సమయంలో, పోస్ట్ ప్రొడక్షన్ వరకు, ప్రతి దశలో అతని నిబద్ధత అద్భుతంగా ఉండేది. crewలో ఓ నిద్రలేని సైనికుడిలా పని చేసేవాడు. దాంతో అతనికి అసోసియేట్ డైరెక్టర్ క్రెడిట్ ఇవ్వాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నాం. ఆటోనగర్ సూర్య సినిమాకి అంటే డెడికేషన్ టు అసోసియేట్ డైరెక్టర్ గా పని చేశాడు. తర్వాత ఫణీ వెబ్ సిరీస్‌లు, యాడ్ ఫిలిమ్స్ వంటి అనేక ప్రాజెక్ట్స్‌పై పని చేస్తూ ఉన్నాడు. అంతే కాదు, కొన్ని ఆసక్తికరమైన కథలు కూడా రాశాడు.
అతను డైరెక్టర్గా డెబ్యూ చేయాల్సిన కొన్ని ప్రాజెక్ట్స్ తనని మించిన కొన్ని కారణాల వల్ల నిలిచిపోయాయి. కానీ తను చేసిన కొన్ని షార్ట్ ఫిలిమ్స్ చూసి ఫణీ ఒక sensible writer, మరియు మంచి director అయ్యే potential ఉన్నవాడు అనిపించింది. ఆ కల త్వరలో నెరవేరాలని ఆశిస్తున్నాను.
కానీ ట్విస్ట్ ఇక్కడ ట్విస్ట్ ఏంటంటే... ఆ షార్ట్ ఫిలిమ్స్ లో ఒకదాంట్లో ఫణీ నటించాడు 😊. అతని కామెడీ టైమింగ్, మరియు పాత్రలోని చిన్నచిన్న న్యూయాన్సెస్ క్యారీ చేసిన తీరు మా టీమ్‌ను అందరినీ ఆశ్చర్యపరిచింది. అదే అతని శాపం కూడా అయింది 😄. వెన్నెల కిషోర్ లా మరో బలి—అతను కూడా డైరెక్టర్ కావాలనే ఆశతో నాకు అసిస్టెంట్ డైరెక్టర్గా వచ్చాడు. కానీ నాకు కావలసిన పాత్రకు సరిపడే యాక్టర్ దొరకక, నా స్వార్థం కోసం ఒప్పించాల్సి వచ్చింది. అలాగే ఫణీని కూడా Appi పాత్ర కోసం మయసభలో ఒప్పించాల్సి వచ్చింది. Appi అంటే MSR, శివారెడ్డి పక్కన ఉండే రైట్ హ్యాండ్ మ్యాన్.
మయసభలో ఫణీ గుర్తుండిపోయే రెండు మోమెంట్స్:
1. ఎపిసోడ్ 3లో procession & దండోరా సీన్: Appi శత్రువుల తలలు ముండనం చేసి, గాడిదలపై ఊరేగిస్తూ ప్రజలమధ్య అవమానించడం… ఆ సీన్‌లో అతను వేసిన డాన్స్, ఎక్స్‌ప్రెషన్స్, బాడీ లాంగ్వేజ్ అన్నీ సీన్‌కు సాంస్కృతిక వాసన, చాలా energy ఇచ్చాయి.
2. ఎపిసోడ్ 6 లో phone threat సీన్: కరప్ట్ SIని కాల్ చేసి, “శివారెడ్డిని రిలీజ్ చెయ్యాల్సిందే” అనే టోన్‌లో కెలికిన తీరులో ఉన్న ఆ బలమైన పర్ఫార్మెన్స్… ఇది Appi పాత్రకు ఇంకొక హైలైట్.
ఫణీంద్ర ప్రయాణం ఓ పట్టుదల, అంచనా తెలిసిన అంతర్దృష్టి, వివిధ కథల ఫార్మాట్లలో క్రమంగా ఎదుగుతూ సాగుతోంది.
నా నుంచి ఫణికి ఒక రిక్వెస్ట్: “డైరెక్టర్ అయ్యే కలను కొనసాగించు, కానీ నీ ల ఉన్న నటుడికి కూడా అవకాశమివ్వు”.
ఫణి కి సినిమాలో తన మార్క్ క్రియేట్ చేసే అవకాశాలు ఎన్నో రావాలని ఆశిస్తున్నాను!
