| September 22, 2008 DEFINITELY MY MOVIE - ASHTA CHAMMA
Let me give you a heads up. My review will definitely be a biased one. Reason being I am the proud sister of my darling brother, Nani. When my brother was shooting for the movie, I expected the movie to be a run of the mill, new actors kind of a movie. Although I prayed that the movie should be extra ordinary. I watched the movie in Washington DC on the first day. Due to some mix up with the date and time published. It was just us(Me,my husband and few other friends) and probably 4 more people. To tell you the truth, I was very disappointed by the crowd. But as the movie started, I don't remember the theatre being quiet for the entire 2 hours 30 minutes or so. I just watched it 4th time last Sunday and the only difference is that the theatre is full for the other 3 times. Swati and Nani performed excellently as the lead pair. Swati was a delight to watch on the screen. I read somewhere that she can be Andhra Kajol. She definitely can be as she has the looks and the talent, Also, I have to mention she is a really nice and friendly girl. About Nani, Probably this space is not enough and I don't want to bore Idlebrain viewers. I am glad that his all time dream came true. I did not know that he has such a good actor in him. He portrayed his character very well considering that it did not have many punch lines like Anand's character. He showed tremendous confidence in his dialogue delivery. Kudos to you Bro. When ever people tell me that he looks stunning. I just say "Anni na polikaley". :-). Srini is hilarious in his role, Anand. It seemed as if Anand's character is tailor made for Srini. Very natural and funny. Mr Indraganti had given us hope that small movies can be good with the right casting and the right treatment. I would like to congratulate him and Producer Rammohan on this amazing success. Good luck to the Ashta Chamma team. ThanksDeepthi
