మయసభ విజయం వెనకున్న సైన్యం, సంవత్సరాలుగా కష్టాలు, అడ్డంకులు ఎదుర్కొంటూ సినిమా తప్ప వేరే జీవితమే లేదని బతుకుతున్న అండర్‌డాగ్స్. వారి ప్రయాణానికి నివాళిగా ఈ వ్యాసాలు రాస్తున్నాను. వారిని తీర్చిదిద్దిన జీవిన పోరాటాలు, మయసభలో వారి ఎలా ఎంపిక, ఈ విజయంలో వారి పాత్ర ఈ వ్యాసాల్లో ప్రధాన అంశాలు. ప్రతి మనిషి ఒక నడిచే కథ—ఆ కథని ప్రపంచం వినడానికి, ఒకే ఒక్క అవకాశం చాలు.
Devi Sri discovered her love for cinema in 8th grade. Initially drawn to the glamour, she soon realized it was the power of storytelling that truly captivated her—the way a single character or expression could hold deep meaning. After completing her diploma, she became an air hostess, but her heart remained with acting.
Her first on-screen break came through iDream channel, where small roles reaffirmed that she belonged in front of the camera. A co-director later recommended her for RDX Love, where she encountered the real struggle of the industry—having to prove herself, with limited choices, while staying active and building contacts for better roles.Despite the challenges, Devi's passion never faded. For her, acting is not about fame but about living different lives, exploring emotions, and telling stories that stay with people. She aspires to play meaningful characters that push the story forward—not ones placed just for presence.
She’s one of those actors we just browsed through the audition tapes and picked for the innocence passion in their eyes. She plays one of the innocent and taunting sisters of KKN (Aadhi Pinisetty) in Mayasabha. Just the two moments she stole within the limited scope of her character made me realise she’s a natural, brilliant and a spontaneous actor.
A couple of moments to notice Devi performance in Mayasabha:
1. In KKN’s intro scene in front of the mirror: I wanted KKN’s entire intro segment to be shot aesthetically in front of a mirror and choreograph the whole activity of sisters coming into the frame and heckling at KKN’s struggle with stammer practicing Ambedkar’s constitutional assembly speech. The shot was very delicately designed in terms or focus markings, artists positions and focus shifts until KKN chases them out of the frame. The she took the mark and delivered a spontaneous performance saying “ఆదేనమ్మే ఇంగిలీసు” for three takes without feeling or sounding mechanical even in a single take was awesome. That’s when we discovered she’s meant to be an actor and deserves much more meaty roles.
2. As KKN exits standing by the door: The way she throws a spontaneous pout saying “సదూకున్నాడని పెద్ద ఎచ్చులుబడతాండాడు” looks and sounds so cultural and natural mirror to characters of such socio economical conditions.
I feel such talent deserve much bigger and important roles. We are committed to consider her seriously in our future projects as well. We feel compelled to expose such immensely talented and struggling actors carrying loads of talent and passion in their hearts and yearning for the right opportunities to explore themselves.
Devi dreams of working with her favourite directors and knows it might take time, but believes patience and persistence will get her there. Her journey is still unfolding, but she continues with hope that someday, the roles she plays will truly define her and leave a lasting mark on cinema.

Ambika Yashraj is a trained theatre artist since childhood, born in Mumbai and raised in a Telugu-speaking family. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Telugu. After completing her BMM in Journalism and exploring various media jobs, she decided to follow her true calling—acting. Inspired by performers like Sai Pallavi and Konkona Sen Sharma, she moved from Mumbai to Hyderabad to pursue a career in cinema.
Starting from scratch wasn’t easy. She was often mocked for her broken Telugu and faced multiple setbacks through small roles and unreleased projects. But persistence paved the way. She appeared in digital ads for brands like Frnd App and Lokal App, along with short films and music videos.
Her breakthrough came with films such as Keeda Cola (2023), Extra Ordinary Man (2023), Bhale Unnade (2024), and MAD 2 (2025).
Her role as Vemulamma (Obul Reddy’s wife) in Mayasabha earned her many accolades, even though the character appears prominently in just one scene. We originally picked her after noticing a spark during auditions, but what she brought to life on set left us stunned. The way she carried the body language and dialect of a rural Rayalaseema housewife was utterly convincing. I couldn’t resist speaking to her, curious to know where she came from and how she got into acting. Listening to her background and understanding her hardworking lifestyle made her performance even more impressive. Watching that scene, can anyone believe Telugu isn’t even her mother tongue?
Please watch her scene in the third episode, a couple of minutes after the opening credits. It’s impossible to highlight a single moment—that entire scene is a piece of theatre art.
Grateful to the mentors and directors who believed in her, Ambika continues to pursue meaningful and versatile roles. She aspires to be recognised as one of the emerging talents in South Indian cinema for her range and finesse.

“ప్రతి మనిషీ నడయాడే కథ!” – ఆర్టికల్ #12: దేవి శ్రీ & అంబికా యష్ రాజ్
దేవి శ్రీకి సినిమాల మీద ప్రేమ 8వ తరగతి నుంచే మొదలైంది. మొదట సినిమాల్లో ఉన్న గ్లామర్‌కి అట్రాక్ట్ అయ్యింది. కానీ తరువాత ఓక కథకున్న శక్తికీ కథ చెప్పే విధాననానికీ ముగ్ధురాలై పోయింది. ఒక పాత్ర, ఒక ఎక్స్‌ప్రెషన్ ఎంత అర్థవంతంగా ఉంటాయో నోటీస్ చెయ్యడం మొదలు పెట్టింది. డిప్లొమా పూర్తయ్యాక కొంత కాలం ఎయిర్ హోస్టెస్‌గా జాబ్ చేసింది, కానీ మనసంతా యాక్టింగ్ పైనే ఉండిపోయింది.
ఆమెకి తొలి స్క్రీన్ బ్రేక్ iDream చానెల్ ద్వారా వచ్చింది. చిన్నచిన్న పాత్రలు చేసినా, కెమెరా ముందు తాను సరిగ్గా ఫిట్ అవుతానని అర్థం చేసుకుంది. ఒక కో-డైరెక్టర్ సూచనతో RDX Love సినిమాలో అవకాశం పొందింది. అక్కడే ఆమె పరిశ్రమలోని అసలైన పోరాటాన్ని ఎదుర్కొంది—లిమిటెడ్ అవకాశాలు, లిమిటెడ్ స్కోప్ ఉన్న పాత్రల్లో తనని తాను నిరూపించుకోవడం అన్నది ఒక దైనందిన పోరాటం అయ్యింది. అయినా దేవి శ్రీ కి నటనపై ఉన్న passion ఏ మాత్రం చలించలేదు. ఎప్పటికైనా మంచి పాత్రలు రాకపోతాయా అన్న ఆశతో అవకాసాల కోసం కాంటాక్ట్స్‌ బిల్డ్ చేసుకుంటూ వచ్చిన ప్రతి చిన్న పాత్రలో తన మార్క్ ఎలా క్రియేట్ చేసుకోవాలో ఆలోచిస్తూ ఎఫర్ట్ పెడుతూ ఎంజాయ్ చెయ్యడం నేర్చుకుంది. దేవి కి ఈ ప్రొఫెషన్ ఫేమ్ కోసం కాదు. ఆత్మ సంతృప్తి కోసం. ప్రతి పాత్ర ఒక కొత్త జీవితం. కొత్త అన్వేషణ. ప్రజల మదిలో నిలిచిపోయే పాత్రలు చెయ్యాలి అన్నదే ఆమె ఆశయం. తెరపై కేవలం ఉండటానికే కాదు, కథను ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లే పాత్రలు చేయాలనే కోరిక.
Mayasabha కోసం దేవి శ్రీ చేసిన audition tapes చూడగానే ఆమె కళ్లలో కనిపించే అమాయకత్వం, ఆత్మీయత చూసి వెంటనే ఎంపిక చేశాం. KKN (ఆది పినిశెట్టి) చెల్లెల్లలో ఒకరిగా కనిపిస్తుంది. పాత్రకు చాలా లిమిటెడ్ స్కోప్ ఉన్నప్పటికీ, ఆమె ఇచ్చిన ఒక రెండు spontaneous expressions చూసి నివ్వెరపోయాము—మా వైపు నుంచి ఏ మాత్రం ఎఫర్ట్ అవసరం లేకుండానే షీ స్టోల్ ది మోమెంట్స్.
Mayasabhaలో దేవి శ్రీ నటనలో రెండు హైలైట్ మొమెంట్స్:
1. KKN ఇంట్రో సీన్ – అద్దం ముందు: KKN పాత్ర పరిచయం సీన్ మొత్తం అద్దం ముందు సింగల్ షాట్ లో aesthetic గా choreograph చేయాలనుకున్నాం. అక్కచెల్లెల్లు వచ్చి అతని మాటతడకను ఆటలాడటంతో మొదలయ్యే సీన్. “ఆదేనమ్మే ఇంగిలీసు” అని దేవి శ్రీ అనే spontaneous లైన్, ఏ మాత్రం మెకానికల్ అనిపించకుండా మూడు టేక్స్లో consistent గా చెప్పడం చూసి మేమంతా ఆశ్చర్యపోయాం. ఆ సీన్ ఆమె నిజంగా ఓ సహజ నటి, ఇంకా మంచి పాత్రలు పెద్ద పాత్రలు చెయ్యడానికి అర్హతున్న యాక్టర్ అనిపించింది.
2. KKN exit – తలుపు దగ్గర: “సదూకున్నాడని పెద్ద ఎచ్చులుబడతాండాడు” అనే డైలాగ్ చెబుతూ ఆమె వేసిన spontaneous pout చాలా నేచురల్, డిజైన్ చేసినట్టే అనిపిస్తుంది. ఆ బాడీ లాంగ్వేజ్, డైలాగ్ డెలివరీ చూసినపుడు ఆమె పాత్ర వచ్చిన సామాజిక స్థితిగతులను చాలా అందంగా ప్రతిబింబిస్తుంది.
ఇలాంటివి చూసినప్పుడు ఒకే ఒక్క ఫీలింగ్: ఇంత టాలెంట్ ఉన్న వారికి ఇంకా మంచి, ముఖ్యమైన పాత్రలు రావాలి. మా భవిష్యత్ ప్రాజెక్ట్స్‌లో కూడా ఆమెను serious గా తీసుకోవాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నాం. దేవి శ్రీ లాంటి హైలీ టాలెంటెడ్ యాక్టర్స్ ఎంతో మంది తగిన అవకాశాల కోసం ఎదురుచూస్తూ ఉన్నారు.
దేవికి తన ఫేవరెట్ డైరెక్టర్లందరితోనూ పని చేయాలన్నది డ్రీమ్. ఆ కల నెరవేరడానికి టైం పట్టొచ్చు, కానీ ఆమె టాలెంట్, నమ్మకం, ఓర్పు, పట్టుదలతో కచ్చితంగా నెరవేరుతుంది. ఆమె కెరీర్ లో ఇది జస్ట్ ఆరంభం మాత్రమే. ఆమె చేసిన పాత్రలు, సినిమాలు తనని చిరకాలం గుర్తుండిపోయేలా చెయ్యాలన్నదే తన ఆశ, ఆశయం..
దేవి శ్రీకి ఇంకా ఎన్నో గొప్ప అవకాశాలు రావాలి—ఆమెలో ఉన్న spontaneous, brilliant actress నీ వెలికి తీసుకు రావాలని కోరుకుంటూ…ఆమె కెరీర్, జీవితం మరింత కలర్‌ఫుల్ కావాలని మనసారా ఆశిస్తున్నాం.

అంబికా యశ్‌రాజ్ చిన్నప్పటినుంచి ప్రొఫెషనల్ థియేటర్ ట్రైనింగ్ తీసుకున్న నటి. ముంబయ్‌లో పుట్టి, తెలుగు మాట్లాడే కుటుంబంలో పెరిగింది. ఆమెకు ఇంగ్లీష్, హిందీ, మరాఠీ, తెలుగు భాషలపై మంచి పట్టుంది. BMM (Journalism) పూర్తయ్యాక, వివిధ మీడియా ఉద్యోగాలు చేసింది. కానీ చివరికి తన నిజమైన పిలుపు ఏంటో గ్రహించింది—అభినయం. సాయి పల్లవి, కొంకణా సేన్ శర్మ లాంటి నటుల నుండి స్ఫూర్తి పొందిన ఆమె, సినిమాల్లో కెరీర్ కోసం ముంబయ్ వదిలి హైదరాబాద్కి షిఫ్ట్ అయ్యింది.
క్లియర్ ప్లాట్‌ఫాం లేకుండా, న్యూ కమర్‌గా మొదలు పెట్టడం సులువు కాదు. భాష మీద పూర్తి పట్టు లేకపోవడంతో కొంతమంది ఆమె తెలుగు accent విని నవ్వేవారు. చిన్నచిన్న పాత్రలు, రిలీజ్ కాని ప్రాజెక్ట్స్—ఇలా తన ప్రయాణం అటూ ఇటూ సాగుతూ వచ్చింది. కానీ ఆమె ఎప్పుడూ పట్టు కోల్పోలేదు. అంబిక Frnd App, Lokal App వంటి డిజిటల్ యాడ్స్, షార్ట్ ఫిలిమ్స్, మ్యూజిక్ వీడియోస్‌లో కనిపించింది.
Keeda Cola (2023), Extra Ordinary Man (2023), Bhale Unnade (2024), MAD 2 (2025) వంటి సినిమాలతో ఆమెకు కొంత break వచ్చింది.
Mayasabha లో ఆమె పోషించిన వెములమ్మ (ఒబుళ్ రెడ్డి భార్య) పాత్ర, ఒక్క సన్నివేశంలోనే ఉన్నా, ప్రేక్షకుల నుంచి మంచి గుర్తింపు తెచ్చింది. మేము ఆడిషన్ సమయంలో ఆమెలోని spark చూసి ఎంపిక చేశాం. కానీ సెట్లో ఆమె చేసిన పెర్ఫార్మన్స్ చూసి ఆశ్చర్యపోయాం. రాయలసీమ గ్రామీణ గృహిణి బాడీ లాంగ్వేజ్, డైలెక్ట్—all absolutely convincing. ఆమె మాట్లాడిన తెలుగును చూస్తే… తెలుగు ఆమె మాతృభాష కాదు అన్న విషయం ఎవ్వరూ నమ్మరు. ఆ సీన్ చూసిన తర్వాత నాకు ఆమెతో పర్సనల్‌గా మాట్లాడాలని అనిపించింది—ఎక్కడి నుంచో వచ్చిన ఈ మిడిల్ క్లాస్ వర్కింగ్ యాక్టర్, జీవితం గురించి, తాను ఎందుకు, ఎలా యాక్టింగ్ లోకి రావాలనుకుందో తెలుసుకోవాలనిపించింది. అంబిక కథ విని, ఆమె మీద మరింత గౌరవం పెరిగింది.
ఎపిసోడ్ 3లో, ఓపెనింగ్ క్రెడిట్స్‌ తర్వాత కొన్ని నిమిషాల్లో ఆమె చేసిన సీన్ ఉంటుంది. ఒక్క మొమెంట్ కాదు, ఆ సీన్ మొత్తమే ఒక live theatre piece లా ఉంటుంది.
