Story

Jyo Achyutananda jeevi review
Achyut (Nara Rohith) and Anand (Naga Shourya) are brothers. They rent out the upper portion of their house to Jyotsna (Regina Cassandra). Both Achyut and Anand are smitten by Jyo. She gives them enough signals that she is not interested in their love. She goes to USA and both brothers are married off to the girls of their mother’s choice. Rest of the story is all about what happens when Jyo returns into their lives after marriage.

Artists Performance

Jyo Achyutananda jeevi reviewActors: Nara Rohith did well and looked cute in some scenes. Rohith has good comedy timing and the director used it well in this movie. But, he should reduce weight. Naga Shourya is aptly cast. His character should look vulnerable and his casting helped it. He has done extremely well. It’s a third person perspective for Regina Cassandra. She is right for the role of intriguing woman. Shashank and Chaitanya Krishna played small roles. Veteran actress Seetha did the role of heroes’ mother. Nani gives a surprise appearance towards the end.

Technical departments

Jyo Achyutananda jeevi reviewStory - screenplay - direction: It’s basically a story of two brothers whose life is disturbed by the same girl. It’s also about brothers realising their bond after going through hardships. Srinivas Avasarala who is a fan of Woody Allen made sure that the narrative style is completely different and probably never attempted in Telugu films earlier. The movie starts off in an interesting way when the entire family is posing for a photograph at a photo studio. The characteristics of brothers and the differences between them were explained well during that opening scene. The flashback narration with different points of view is very creative though most of scenes repeated twice. First half of the film is fun and offers variety. Director who has made sure that he gets us engaged in the first half didn’t maintain the same grip in second half. Things get complicated and mysterious after the return of Jyo into the lives of brothers. Narrative becomes very slow and the way Jyo behaves look completely irrational (though the director explained it towards climax). Second half of the the film is not engaging enough. Climax is better.

Jyo Achyutananda jeevi reviewOther departments: Music by Sree Kalyanramana is an asset. Oka Lalana and title songs are good. Background music offers variety as the instruments he has chosen are not usually in background music in these days. Cinematography by Venkat C Dileep is okay. Dialogues written by Srinivas Avasarala are excellent. He tried to use pristine Telugu most of the time (jebu rumalu instead of hand kerchief). Cigarette dialogues are hilarious. Producer Sai Korrapati should be appreciated for the trusting the director who tried to narrate a film in an unconventional style.

Jyo Achyutananda jeevi reviewAnalysis: First half of the film is creative and humorous. Second half goes haywire. Climax is better. Plus points are creative narrating style in the first half, dialogues and performances. On the flipside, an engaging second half would have done wonders for this film. The narration is very slow. On a whole, Jyo Achyutananda is a multiplex film!
