Story
YD Raju (Venkatesh), a former cop, is happily married to Bhagyam (Aishwarya Rajesh) and enjoys a peaceful life with their four children. Meenakshi (Meenakshi Chaudhary), a skilled police officer, is tasked with safeguarding the CEO of a renowned tech company. However, the CEO gets kidnapped, leaving Meenakshi and the DG with only three days to track down the culprits and rescue him. The rest of the story follows how Raju, along with his family, joins forces with Meenakshi to solve the case.

Artists Performance

This role is a perfect fit for Venkatesh, who shines with his trademark comedic body language, impeccable dialogue delivery, and expressive performance. He also exudes style in the action sequences. Aishwarya Rajesh is the surprise package of the film. Known for her serious roles, she brings a delightful dose of entertainment with her humorous portrayal.

Meenakshi Chaudhary delivers a commendable performance and effectively dubs for her role. The child actor playing Venky’s son steals the show with his mischievous antics. Upendra Limaye (Animal fame) is highly entertaining as a jailor, delivering his Hindi-Telugu mix dialogues with flair.

Naresh, as the CM, and VTV Ganesh, as the party president, bring in plenty of laughs. Pammi Sai impresses with his comedic timing. Sai Kumar's role is cleverly written, utilizing his powerful voice as a central element. Muralidhar Goud does well as the hero’s father-in-law, while Srinivas Avasarala leaves a mark with his portrayal of the CEO.

Story - screenplay - direction: This film is crafted with a singular focus: to entertain family audiences. Writer-director Anil Ravipudi delivers a straightforward plot with convenient explanations, centering on the comedic premise of a man caught between two women. The concept is written hilariously and executed flawlessly, supported by a well-structured screenplay.

Anil Ravipudi’s strength has always been creating comedy and entertainment that resonates with family viewers, and he plays to his strengths here by infusing humor into every character, reminiscent of Jandhyala’s films. He ensures there are no dull moments, even during action scenes, maintaining a consistent level of engagement throughout. The Avakaya Mudda scene involving Aishwarya Rajesh is particularly inventive, while the clever use of frustration dialogues in the climactic fight offers a smart payoff, tying in with Srinivasa Reddy’s character’s "level 1, 2, 3 fitness" quips.

Although Ravipudi has faced criticism for the second halves of his previous films, he overcomes this here by adding humor to the crime elements, keeping the narrative engaging. The dialogues written for the child character are hilarious and carefully avoid any vulgarity. Overall, this movie stands as the best in Anil Ravipudi’s career, blending humor, creativity, and family-friendly entertainment seamlessly.

Other departments: The standout highlight of the film is the music composed by Bheems Ceciroleo. He has delivered instant chartbusters that went viral organically well before the movie’s release. The background score and bit songs are equally well-crafted. Sameer Reddy’s cinematography perfectly complements the story, providing a visually appealing output. Anil Ravipudi’s dialogues are packed with humor and blend seamlessly into the narrative. V Venkat’s action sequences are designed with an entertaining flair, adding to the film’s appeal. Tammiraju’s editing keeps the pacing tight, while A.S. Prakash’s production design authentically aligns with the film’s theme. Production values by Sri Venkateswara Creations banner are good.

Analysis: Sankranthiki Vastunnam is a straightforward and unpretentious film, crafted with the sole purpose of entertaining family audiences through refreshing and clean comedy, free from any cringe-worthy moments. Anil Ravipudi, renowned for his knack for writing excellent family entertainment blocks, joins forces once again with Venky, who is celebrated for his appeal among family audiences and impeccable comic timing. Having delivered a laugh riot with F2, this duo raises the bar even higher with Sankranthiki Vastunnam, offering an even more enjoyable experience. Don’t miss it - it’s pure entertainment at its best!
