Mohan Ranga (Nithin) aims to go to USA and succeeds in going to USA by devising a plan. He accidentally meets Megha (Megha Akash) in USA. They become good friends and start having feelings towards each other. Both of them have different personalities. They look at the same thing with different perspectives. Though they are in love, they hesitate to express it because of certain misconceptions. Rest of the story is all about how they get united even though Megha’s wedding is fixed with another guy. 
Actors: Nithin shows a lot of flexibility as an actor. He performs well in casual scenes and emotes well in serious scenes. Megha Akash is good in an author backed role. Pammi Sai is effective as friend of hero. Madhunandan is good as hero’s friend. Lissy makes her comeback in Telugu films in a materialistic mother’s role. Rao Ramesh plays a role that looks altruistic at times and comical some other times. Narra Srinu’s character as a funny psychiatrist is partly entertaining. Satya is entertaining as a servant. Prabhas Srinu provides some relief. 
Story - screenplay - direction: Story of the film is about destiny and how two people get united despite many twists and turns. Director Krishna Chaitanya who has done Rowdy Fellow a few years back comes up with an entertainment oriented love story this time. There is not much about story as it’s a screenplay based film. He does a decent job with comedy and love in this film. However, you can observe a lot of resemblance to many movies in terms of characterizations and orientation (for example: heroine’s sister character resembles us of Pinky in Nuvvu Naaku Nachav, the drinking comedy scenes remind us of Kushi, Rao Ramesh characterization towards climax reminds us of A. Aa..). Scenes shot in USA look natural with good sprinkling of humor. However, the scenes becomes repetitive towards climax of the film as there is not much of story. The most hilarious scene in the film comes in the second half with the song - neekkavalsindi naa daggara vundi. It was conceived and directed very well.
Other departments: Music by Thaman is good and all songs are shot well. Cinematography by N Nataraja Subramanian is very good. Dialogues written by the director Chaitanya Krishna has a lot of touch of Trivikram. Dialogues are good - witty and meaningful (ex: నీలా ఉండడం నాకు ఆనందం. కానీ, నాలా ఉండడం నాకు అవసరం). Editing by SR Sekhar is good. Production values by Sresht Movies and Pawan Kalyan Creative Works are grand.
Analysis: First half of the film is decent with good amount of comedy and romance. Second half gets a little tedious as story revolves around a singular aspect, but director has used humor to good effect to compensate it. Plus points are humor, Nithin, dialogues and first half. On the flipside, second half has issues and story doesn’t move forward after some time. On a whole, Chal Mohan Ranga is a romantic comedy with a fresh first half and a redundant second half!
