Rachana (Samantha Akkineni) works for a newspaper as an intern. Frequent accidents keep happening on a illegal U Turn created by restless two-wheelers on a busy flyover. Rachana keeps digging the data of people who took U Turn using the help of a homeless man. And strange coincidences happen to all those people who take that illegal U Turn. Rest of the story is all about how Rachana cracks the mysterious case. 
Actors: Samantha did a lady oriented subject for the first time in her career. She is excellent as an inquisitive and socially responsible journalist. She dubbed for herself in this film. Aadhi Pinisetty does the vital character of a cop and he is perfect. Rahul Ravindran is seen in a soft role and he does justice. Bhumika Chawla plays an important role and she is good. 
Story - screenplay - direction: U Turn is the official remake of a Kannada film with the same name. Pawan Kumar who made a sensational crowd-funded film Lucia as his second film has done U Turn Kannada movie as his directorial number 3. He has directed the Telugu version too. I have seen the original film and it’s a faithful remake with different actors. Screenplay of the film is good and the director keeps building the momentum up. He has explained the concept of Karma very beautifully. However, the orientation in the climax is very different. The makers should have kept Bhumika Chawla underwraps by not revealing her in publicity. 
Other departments: Cinematography by Niketh Bommireddy is neat and most of the film is shot in night. There are no songs in the film. Background music by Purna Chandra Tejaswi is good. Art direction is apt. Editing by Suresh Armugam is fine. Production values are good.
