Chandra Sekhar Yeleti is all set to release his latest film Prayanam with Manoj Manchu as hero. This film will hit the marquee in the month end of April. Idlebrain.com is bringing an exclusive interview about Prayanam. There will be many more exclusive interviews on Prayanam in the weeks to come -

Tell us about Prayanam?
Prayanam is a simple love story where boy meets a girl and fall in love. And the climax is about how he convinces her. Prayanam will have loads of humor and it doesn’t have any serious tone. Prayanam is a jolly film. Watching Prayanam will be like reading a comic book (Tinkle).

Which genre Prayanam falls in?
It is a simple love story. It is not a thriller. I did not want to tax the brains of audiences this time. I want them to sit through film and enjoy it immensely. All my three films were done in different genre. This time I am attempting a simple love story with lots of humor.

Tell us about the characters?
There are seven important characters in the film. Each of these characters have their own track running in parallel.

1. Manoj Manchu: He is the lead actor traveling from Malaysia to Singapore.
2. Harika: Her real name is Payal Ghosh. This is her first film. Her character name in this film is Harika. I named her Harika as Payal Ghosh would sound alien to Telugu movie lovers. Harika is doing her post graduation in Malaysia. She is going back to India to select the bride.
3. Kalpika: She is also a Telugu girl. She is the friend of Harika and she accompanies Harika to India.
4. Janardhan: Janardhan is one the four actors (studious guy) in Aithe film. He is playing the role of Manoj’s friend.
5. Tamim: Tamim is from theater background and he is acting in a film for the first time. He is also doing the role of Manoj’s friend.
6. Brahmanandam: Brahmanandam is basically a farmer who is finished his world tour and going back to India from Malaysia.
7. Daniel: Daniel is a foreigner who is a co-passenger to these guys.

Experience of shooting in Malaysian Airport:
The initial 15 minutes of the film takes place outside. 70% of the story takes place in Malaysian International Airport. The management of the airport is wonderful and is extremely cooperative.

Tell us about the music?
There is only one song in this film and there are three bit songs. These songs are penned by Anant Sreeram. If you listen to the full song carefully you would understand the entire story. Mahesh Shankar (Vennela fame) composes music.

What is the runtime of the movie?
The total runtime of the movie is 2 hours and 10 minutes. The duration of the story is around 3 hour and 45 minutes. This film was shot in 40 working days.

Did you consider any other titles for this film?
Yes. The other titles considered were ‘Prati Kashanam’ and ‘3 hour 45 minutes’ (a love story).

You turned into production with this film. Are you nervous?
I started my own production house ‘Aryaki Arts’ and directing this film. Aryaki means Durga Devi. I am not nervous.

Why are you not doing complex films like Aithe and AOR (Anukokunda Oka Roju)?
Aithe and Anukokunda Oka Roju were made before multiplex culture came to Hyderabad. I think this is the right time to make such kinds of films. I will do them in future.

When is Prayanam going to release?
We are aiming for April month end release.
